U2 - The Best Of 1990-2000

1990-2000 proved a strange decade for U2. After the innovative glory of Achtung Baby and the amazing Zoo TV tour, U2 seemed to struggle.
The ill-conceived Pop album showed a band slim on ideas. Then the "reapplying for the job of best band in the world" album, All That You Can't Leave Behind, found U2 again huge, just by being and sounding like U2.
From Achtung, there is the mighty Even Better than the Real Thing, the glorious One, and the cringing Mysterious Ways.
Yet no Fly or Wild Horses. The Zooropa album is represented by Edge's curio Numb. But no Lemon.
Yet among this collection of sometimes mis-fires (Discotheque, the horrid Miss Sarajevo), is a magnificent gem. Stay (Faraway, So Close) is perfection. Worth the price alone.
