No U2 Storm at MTV Euro Awards...
U2 saw a mixture of new and old acts pip them to the post last night at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The sensational Barcelona show was a run away success for US artists such as Eminem, Linkin Park, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
But Irish eyes were anything but smiling as the world's biggest rock band received no awards. Ronan Keating, who was presenting The Best live Act award, said to the crowd "I know who should win it," referring to his fellow Irish men, only to be suprised to read Red Hot Chili Peppers.
US band Linkin Park won both the Best Group and Best Hard Rock categories, beating U2 and Coldplay.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers won for Best Rock and Best Live Act and Coldplay won Best UK and Ireland Act.
