CBS Captures 'Beautiful Day' for U2

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - When U2 returned to Ireland last year to play two sold-out shows at Slane Castle, CBS cameras followed them.
The resulting concert special, "U2's Beautiful Day," is set to air Thanksgiving weekend.
U2 played two shows at Slane Castle, northwest of Dublin, in late August and early September 2001, at the tail end of their "Elevation" tour. The special will include songs from both concerts as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
The Slane concerts marked a number of firsts for the band. It was the first time U2 played in its native country since 1997, and their first concert at the castle in 20 years. The band also recorded its mid-'80s album "The Unforgettable Fire" there.
The special will feature songs from the band's most recent album, "All That You Can't Leave Behind," along with older tunes like "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "Pride." It's scheduled to air at 10 p.m. ET Friday, Nov. 29.
