U2 : Electrical Storm

Recorded during Bono?s protracted efforts to bring peace to the middle east, end world hunger and do something about his crumbling hair, ?Electrical Storm? sounds like the Great Leader was a tad distracted at the time. So much so, that he forgot to put a chorus in until about two minutes and 20 seconds into the song.

Whatever the matters of state weighing down on Bono, though, U2 are still making Bloody Good Music. With production by William Orbit (the Pope was too busy mixing the new Santana album) and one of Bono?s best vocals for ages, ?Electrical Storm? feels like you?re cruising around Portofino on a sleek, designer yacht. With a couple of The Corrs mixing the cocktails.
