The planet's most famous lead singer continues his humanitarian campaign, contributes to fundraising book project and appears on Oprah. Oh, and a Frank Sinatra cover and landmark U2 memorabilia exhibition are also en route

Proving that he's good for more than fighting for global justice and fronting the biggest band in the world, Bono has now become the newest swinger in town. His cover of Frank Sinatra's classic 'That's Life' will appear on the soundtrack of Neil Jordan's new film, The Good Thief, a thriller, starring Ryan Phillippe, Nick Nolte and Ralph Fiennes. General release is penciled in for next year.

Furthering his humanitarian reputation, Bono has also contributed to a book called The aWake Project: Uniting Against The African AIDS Crisis, and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Jubilee 2000 and World Vision's Hope Initiative For Africa.

The singer is also set to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show this week, to discuss and highlight the poverty crisis.

And last but definitely not least, a major U2 exhibition is set to take the place of the long running John Lennon retrospective at Cleveland's Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Set to open in January/February of next year, the show will feature hand written lyrics, props, stage costumes and instruments, and will undoubtedly be drawing extensively on Larry Mullen's collection of U2 memorabilia.
