Bono has recorded a cover of a Frank Sinatra track for the soundtrack of a forthcoming film.
The U2 frontman has reworked 'That's Life' by Ol' Blue Eyes for Neil Jordan's new film 'The Good Thief', which is due in March 2003, and was screened on September 6-7 at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.
Leonard Cohen is also expected to feature on the soundtrack, although no tracklisting or release date have yet been released.
Bono has also contributed to a new book, 'The aWAKE Project, Uniting Against The African AIDS Crisis', which is intended to help deal with the AIDS crisis in Africa.
A certain amount of the proceeds from the book will be donated to Jubilee 2000 and World Vision's Hope Initiative for Africa.
Bono recently stated: "Today, this very day, 5,500 Africans will die of AIDS. If this isn't emergency, what is?"
