The DVD Awards are produced by the International Recording Media Association and United Entertainment Media. The winners will be announced at The 5th Annual DVD Award ceremony on Wednesday, August 21, 7:30 PM, during the 5th Annual DVD Entertainment Conference & Showcase at the Universal City Hilton. A pre-awards reception, sponsored by Sony, will begin at 6 PM.

Artistic categories include Best of Show DVD, Viewers Choice Award, Best Special Edition DVD, Best Standard Release DVD, Best Educational/Documentary DVD, Best Music Release DVD, Best Restoration DVD, Best DVD-Audio/Non Video and Best DVD-ROM Content. Craft categories include: Best Video Presentation, Best Audio Presentation, Best Packaging, Best Menu Design and Best Authoring.
