Details are emerging about U2's long awaited new single.
According to a French website written by fans, the band will release a track called Electric Storm on October 21.
The track is thought to be one of two new songs which will feature U2's Best Of LP, which is due out in November.
Meanwhile, the band are being lined up to headline a massive concert in New York's Time Square on September the 5th.
Thousands of fans are expected at the event to celebrate the start of the American football season.
The concert also aims to demonstrate the city's resurgence one year on from the terror attacks, city officials told a New York newspaper.
Bon Jovi are also being lined up for the concert, which if it gets the go-ahead, will take place a day before the US Congress meet in New York City for a symbolic one-day session.
