The book is published by Four5One, longtime design collaborators with the band and it details the work of designers Steve Averill and Shaughn McGrath, from the very first single right up to the most recent album. The book is already winning plaudits but there are only limited numbers of available and we have three for the winners of our intentionally tricky competition.
All you have to do is answer the questions below and complete the unfinished sentence.
1. What was the name of the person whose face appeared on the cover of 'U2 Three' in 1979 - and who took his photo ?
2. Who was the artist whose work featured prominently in the Love Town Tour Programme of 1989 - and what was his country of origin ?
3. What colour did Four5One make Ian Paisley's hair in 1997 - and what colour were Gerry Adams' glasses ?
Please complete the following sentence in not more than thirty words:
I think the next U2 album should be called.........
Because..........................
Send your entries to competition@u2.com
In a few weeks time we will struggle through the entries and, entirely at random, pluck the first three sets of correct answers. We'll publish their names here and send them their winning books.
As well as Steve and Shaughn discussing their work, the new book also has insightful comments and anecdotes from Bono and Adam, along with graphic design out-takes like album covers that never saw the lights of day, tour books, t-shirt executions and other surprises.
Only 6000 copies of Stealing Hearts At A Traveling Show have been printed, including 2000 in hardback.
