Stars And Locals Rally For AIDS Funding
PHILADELPHIA (KYW 1060) Star power is being used to fight global AIDS and extreme poverty. The kick off for the "One Campaign " drew thousands to Independence Mall.
Celebrities like Bono, the lead singer of Irish group U2, on hand at Independence Mall signing a petition for the One Campaign a new effort calling on politicians on both sides to do all they can in the fight against AIDS. Former 76er Dikembe Mutombo says we all must come together to help.
"All of the people must come together from different races and do what ever we have to do rally together and find a way to find a cure and find money."
