Interference has received a press release from Librex Montale stating Bono has won the "Poetry for Music" prize for 2003.

The U2?s leader Bono Vox has been awarded the ? Poetry for music ? section of the Librex Montale International Poetry Prize. The Prize has come to his 15th edition, 21st year. This is the 6th edition of the ?Poetry for music? section.
Bono Vox has been recognised as a poet for the lyrics of his songs. Actually, the ?Poetry for music? section was included in the Librex Montale Prize in order to give recognition to lyrics composed for music.
The distribution of prizes will take place on Monday, the 28th of April 2003 at the Teatro Nuovo of Milan.
From 1991 to 2001 the prize has been awarded to Paolo Conte (1991), Francesco Guccini (?92), Lucio Dalla (?93), Franco Battiato (2000) et Bob Dylan (2001).
This is the first International edition of the Prize. Since 2003 the Librex Montale prize has been associated with several leading foreign institutions and universities like: Printemps des Po?tes, Poetry Book Society; Eigse Eireann Ireland; PEN Club Germany, Serbia,Monaco,Russia ;Cesky Literarni Fond; Universidad Complutense de Madrid; Princeton University; Hungarian Writers Association; Villa Decius Cracovie; Minist?re de la Communaut? Fran?aise Belgique; Schule f?r Dichtung in Wien.
