Slane Castle on DVD Closer Than You Think?

On February 26th 2003 Daniel and Didi from U2tour.de visited the Universal headquarter of Austria in Vienna to hand over the online petition. Universal was very delighted about the engagement of the fans and was surprised by the amount of signatures. The printed version of the petition will be sent to Island UK, the european headquarter, a further copy is on the way to the U2 management in Dublin. Additionally the team of u2place.com and u2achtung.com will visit their local Universal offices in France and Italy to hand over the petition personally. The final petition with all signatures, which have been collected at u2tour.de, u2achtung.com and u2place.com, has 211 pages and can be downloaded as an AdobeAcrobat-pdf-file (http://u2.reicht.net/media/Release-Slane-Petition.pdf) (appr. 1.1MB).

P.S.: During the handover Universal confirmed, that Island/Universal and the Management/U2 is thinking seriously about a release of ZooTV in Sydney and PopMart in Mexico on DVD. Also Slane would be possible..... we will see if we can push 'em a little forward with this petition to really release all these concerts on DVD!
