Looking to get in on the Grammy party? Well, public tickets to the black-tie-only awards ceremony Feb. 23 at Madison Square Garden are long gone. But there are still loads of places to catch musicians getting their party on in the next few weeks.
The MusiCares Person of the Year Gala will honor Bono at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel Feb. 21. Tickets are $1,000 to $2,500 through The MusiCares Foundation at 310-392-3777.
The 10th annual Rock the Vote Awards, honoring Chuck D, Alanis Morissette and Peter Gabriel, are set for Roseland Ballroom Feb.22. Public Enemy will perform, along with Robbie Williams, Vanessa Carlton and the Flaming Lips. Tickets are $150 to $500, available through www.rockthe vote.org.
For those not looking to max out their platinum cards, a series of "In the Trenches" shows celebrating New York's club scene will take place around the area - Monday at Southpaw, 125 Fifth Ave., Brooklyn, and Wednesday at the Bitter End, 147 Bleecker St., and Arlene Grocery, 95 Stanton St., both in Manhattan.
