When I listen to a song, I sometimes focus on listening to one particular instument. Sometimes I will just listen to the bass, while other times just the guitar. Well, I've come up with a list of songs where the drums just stand out. I find that the drums are much more prominent in early U2 and that's probably why my list has lots of songs from Boy and War.

Anyways..... list the Larry beats that just make you......... well you know.....

Here are mine in no particular order:

1)A Day Without Me
2)I Threw a Brick Through a Window
3)Mysterious Ways
4)I Will Follow
5)Out Of Control
6)Seconds
7)Stories For Boys
8)Refugee
9)Sunday Bloody Sunday
10)Desire
11)Streets (Ok, so I put 11... oh well)

I wish there were more songs now that had more of a Larry (I mean drum) focus.... I can hope, can't I?

I do the same thing CantSeeOrBeSeen!! This is a cool thread. I'm a drummer also and I've tried many of his parts-they're pretty complicated!

1)Refugee
2)SBS
3)Bullet the Blue Sky
4)The Unforgettable Fire
5)ISHFWILF
5) Trip Through Your Wires
6) If You Wear That Velvet Dress
8) Mysterious Ways
9) Zoo Station
10)Beautiful Day

Yay! I love all of the songs of course though.

I do that too! My list doesn't reach 10, but here it is anyway...

1. Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car
2. Bullet the Blue Sky (don't you just love how Larry's shoulders go up and down when playing this one?)
3. SBS
4. I Will Follow
5. With or Without (esp. the version in the R&H video)
6. Angel of Harlem

I'm no drummer, but I tell ya...whenever I listen to October or War, I think Larry.

If you ask me, I think it's all about drums.
