Okay so I'm stealing miss Maddies idea in LS ((((((( :hug: )))))))

With the pet peeve and venting threads I think we needed something uplifting.

  • A cool fall day, where you can smell the leaves and feel the cold air in your lungs
  • realizing that even though I'm not perfect, I've got some good things goin for me
  • Pearberry hand lotion from Bath and Body Works
  • Yankee Candle
  • Knowing that the people you love are just a phone call away
  • my warm fuzzy slippers

- waking up with my kitty licking my face
- a bagel toasted with cream cheese and a vanilla latte for breakfast
- going antique shopping or to a flea market and finding something really cool and unexpected, or getting a real bargain
- getting my JANE and Rolling Stone in the mail, or anything else fun in there besides bills and junk, lol
- my mom coming home with liquor :laugh:
- warm pj's in the winter
- having a friend call out of the blue to talk :D
- being silly and having no one care or tell me to stop

Um, that's it for now.... :)

I just replied in LS, so I will copy it over...

~the nights I don' t have class so I can come home and watch TV with Dad

~my nightly phone calls from my sweetheart (the perfect way to end a day!)

~cuddling up with any...sometimes all four...of my kitties as I fall asleep (especially Whiskers)

~listening to good music (currently, my CD players are dominated by Ryan...obviously...*lol*)

~going on instant messengers and talkin' to friends 'til too damn late *cough*April*cough*Tiff*cough*...but it's worth it.

~coverin' up with my big quilt my aunt made me for graduation

~singin'...even when people in other cars give me funny looks...I figure they are just jealous cuz they aren't havin' as much fun as I am. :D

~reading magazines...I :heart: magazines

~playin' with my Barbie doll collection (man...I STILL love those dolls!)

~Dad and I hoppin' in the car for a long ride, even though sometimes we have no clue where we want to go...we just drive...but we have to stop at Tim Hortons for a drink and maybe a bagel first (plain, untoasted)

~~~~~
Oooh! Thought of some more!!
~going hill rolling (even though I usually feel sick after!)
~making people laugh...even if it's at my expense (as long as that was my intention! :D )
~towels fresh from the dryer
~walking in the rain
Good idea Daisy! I haven't been too happy lately and I fear that I've been taking some things for granted. You know how there are just those things which you don't even acknowledge sometimes but which are always there? Okay, so here's my list... this might be quite lengthy cause I've been getting lots of fuzzies recently...
  • First on this list has to be my roommate right now... she's such a blessing in my life and has helped me so much in the past year. I don't know what I'd be doing without her here. Little did I realize that I'd be finding a best friend in her... Love you Dar!
  • Knowing that I have goals and I'm well on my way to making them happen
  • Speaking of Yankee Candles... my mom has this really really really nice one that ALWAYS reminds me of Christmastime and it makes me happy
  • My bunnies make me happy... I wish I could have them at school
  • As strange as this sounds, it's quite true... my hair makes me happy. I really like it!
  • Salman Rushdie makes me happy ( I can't wait to really dig into his new non-fiction book this weekend)
  • The Dalton Brothers and Mafia U2 make me happy :D
  • Hanging out at the library actually looking for books I WANT to read
  • Nice people who smile at you even if you don't know them make me happy
christmas break.
After the mega stress of finals the week before you get to go home, put on your jammies, and have your mom make you dinner cos her baby's home and just SIT AND WATCH TV with a blankie and some kitties and the dog and not be thinking "I really should be studying/doing homework" cos you're between semesters, or "I really should go to bed since I need to get up at ____ tomorrow" cos you DON'T need to get up.
That, my friends, is the best day of the year.
The first day of christmas break.
