In the mud, in the maze of my imagination.
Oooh I almost forgot and used the devil smiley. HOW embarassing.

I was just up WAY too late again and was wondering what everyone wanted to be when they were little and if they're doing it now?

Me, I wanted to be Princess Diana, but somehow crossed with someone ruthless and evil. I always dreamed that someday, when I was old enough to wear a ballgown that a HUGE box would arrive at my house from England with two servants and inside would be jewels and gorgeous dresses and they'd announce that there had been some sort of mistake way, way back and that I was in fact the new Queen of England. Of course, I'd go back to Merry Olde England and rule, but I'd take all the power back from the parliament and make sure that I was the one and only BOSS. I was a weird kid.

Needless to say ... I'm not Queen ... of anything. *sigh* I don't even know HOW to get there. I mean if your high school has career day, WHAT desk do you go to for that? Basically now, I'll settle for Zsa Zsa Gabor-dom ... famous for doing nothing.

How about you?

Kim Zmeskal. Yes, I was going to win all of the gold medals Olympic gymnastics has to offer.....

When I was in kindergarten, I decided I wanted to be an elementary teacher...and even picked out the university I wanted to go to. 13 years later...I started going to that school for that very major...and I changed my mind. That was a really hard decision to make.

Now I have a computer application specialist degree.

I'm working in retail though.

Meh.

When I was five I wanted to be Van Morrison....if only because I loved the song Moondance...then when I was six, I altered that dream so that I wanted to be a rockstar because I loved watching MTV...I was a strange child(still am) and my favorite video was Last Dance with Mary Jane by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, so I wanted to be in a cool music video like that. That's why there are so many pix of me as a kid dressed up in bizare clothes with a microphone or cheap plastic guitar pretending I'm a rockstar....and, needless to say, that's been my goal ever since

I always wanted to be a movie director. LOL....yeah when I was a lil kid I didn't want to be the actress...I want to RUN THE SHOW. haha.

Sadly the closest I am is workin at Blockbuster...

I wanted to be a nurse when I was growing up. I don't have the temperament for nursing, unfortunately. I went to work in a hospital working with charts as opposed to dying patients; I thought I could handle that. I was *so* wrong. It was the Stress Job From Hell for bureaucratic reasons. I quit it, went back to school and graduated in history, then got a job at the library.

Oh right, forgot to answer if I am doing any of these now.

Well, *grins* I am a rock star in my own little world, but those stars are mostly falling from the sky very fast, ain't'em? :D

Oops. Me too. As for gymnastics, I did it for four years in high school and my greatest accomplishments were making All City twice and MVP twice. I haven't been to the gym in over a year. A team mate and myself decided we'd like to finish high school gymnastics knowing we could do our routines....and live the rest of our lives still assuming we could. :D

Now I just switched my major to business and I work as a computer support technician. I'm not sure what I want to do after school, but looking at my student loans, whatever pays the bills....

well...at one point i wanted to be an artist...i still do, but realistically speaking, i'd rather have enough money to live on...

i also wanted to be a vet or a doctor...each had it's phase...i still would enjoy doing either, but medschool got a little daunting

now my major is biology and i want to be an fbi agent (well, that or just a crime scene investigator) specializing in forensic biology. close enough, eh?

I wanted to be a marine biologist, or a rock star.

Now I'm majoring in Anthropology and Film Studies... depending on which one I decide I like more, I want to go to grad school and either be an archaeologist or... something in film.

I haven't actually started the film studies major yet. :D

the rock star thing is still in the works.

hmmmm....I wanted to be a doctor, a vet, a business woman who was not afraid to sleep her way to the top ( I kid you not, I really thought this way in high school) an attorney, a senator, a congress woman.....

And now I'm a teacher. My feeling is that I get to be a part of doctors and lawyers lives as a teacher. I still have political ambitions and I will be involved in administration some day. I also plan to hold some sort of elected office. still dreamin big.....

I wanted to be an ice skater, or a gymnastics star. Watching the Olympics will do that to a kid. But I realized I was going to be too tall and the training would have been unrealistic for my family. I also wanted to be Miss USA, an actress and a rock star. The most normal thing was a teacher. The one thing I never wanted to be was a nurse, but that's what I am.

btw, as to whether I'm a rockstar now, of course not, i'm just 16, but wait a few more years, and ask me again

just like now... draw comics

I remember my first comic, Captain Z was called, and was very silly, now that I read it gives laughter me, I did it when I was 5 years old, more or less

ROTFLMAO

Sorry, but for some reason everyone's responses are just so TOUCHING and CUTE that I'm Smiling uncontrollably.

I always wanted to be a ballerina. However, I have booty. That dream was crushed. But when i'm alone I still dance in the living room. It's not really ballet though, just sort of what a kid would THINK ballet was.

Lol.

I wanted to be a ballerina, but that dream was cut short because of my height. I'm 5 foot 3. Now I am involved with a non-profit organization which brings out the humanitarian in me.

I wanted to be a singer... and/or an actress. Well, my real dream was to be a Broadway star. I have a bachelor's on communications with a minor in music and currently work on data entry...

When I was about 10 or 11 I want to be an Interior Designer but then I opened a Vogue magazine with Cindy Crawford on the cover and I had like this major revilation and i decided that I had to be a Fashion Designer when I grew up or at least work in the Fashion Industry.

So I got a degree in Fashion Merchdising because that was the only degree in fashion that the college I went to in Miami had to offer and there was no other school for me to go to. I've had several boring jobs in retail because Miami offers nothing else in the job market that has to do with fashion. My dream is to get my self to New York and find a job with a designer or be a Stylist or maybe get a job with a Fashion magazine.

Great Question..

Well, until i moved back to Florida 2 years ago, i wanted to be a news reporter. I was attending MSU when i became pregnant with Emilia, and now i'm a mom..and of course i do Data Entry for a local company.
I definitely don't regret being a mom, my baby's my life and is well worth any sacrifice i have to make for her..but in the future i won't mind going back to school and maybe getting my journalism degree!

I have a degree in communications (print journalism focus) and was a reporter at the local newspaper for awhile, but I got tired of working like a dog and practically making no money. :| So that's why I went into PR... pays better.

I still miss my reporting days though, it was always interesting, never a dull day. :D

when i was about 11 or so I wanted to play flute in an orchestra, but my the time i got to high school i wasn't as interested in it anymore and since I've graduated from high school i only play it a couple of times a year.

In high school I wanted to be a doctor, but shortly into college i decided that i hated being a biology major with a firey passion and wasn't willing to go to school for that long taking a lot of bio/chem/math/physics classes that i absolutely hated.

Now I'm a psychology major and I'm not sure what I want to do, probably a psychologist or counseler of somekind.........either that or a rock star (i'm working on it  )

I always wanted to work in an airport, because that's what my dad does. But I wanted to go to uni ... so I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and I started that at uni but didn't like it.

Now I'm finishing off my degree in history and geography, and I'm hoping to work for the public service ... or, if I don't get into that, I'd like to work in a museum. I'll just have to wait and see!

That's precisely what attracts me to it, the "never a dull day" thing..my current job's ok, but sometimes it gets sooo repetitive and dull i want to scream! but i cope..after all there's always tomorrow:)

When i was young I wanted to be a singer in a band. I was also an ice skater and I competed. I was also a dancer. When I was 11, I saw Blondie in concert in 79. I wanted to be Debbie Harry and be beautiful and famous. I loved how she was a lead singer for an a male band and that she got the center of attention. Things didn't turn out the way I dreamed but then again I am not dead yet. I have always wanted to go and check out CBGB's back in the days. I was way too young and lived in La. Way across the state. :larry: :adam: :bono: :edge:

Erm, when i was younger (than what i am now :reject:) I wanted to help people.....teaching in other words.

Now I'm starting college and I still wanna help people, I'm determined to help end the Africa suffering and beleive me now i'm determined nothing will stop me!!

So yeah, from the age of around 8 my aspirations never changed, weird eh?

I wanted to be a superhero (and still do:reject:) and a pharmacist. I was a very ill child who was constantly taking new medicine so I thought it would be cool to have my own pharmacy.

I'm currently working on becoming a biologist or chemist so I can do pharmaceutical research.
