a friend of mine who had 5 weeks to delivery lost her baby today. she had not felt it move since saturday. a doctor confirmed that there was no heartbeat and that the baby had perished. she is in labor tonight, which is an induced and very difficult one. if you are the praying type, i ask you to pray for her and her baby. thank you.

unfortunately no. her pregancy was considered high risk. during her last pregnancy she had gestational diabetes. and since she did not develop that again this pregnancy, they were worried that perhaps the baby had it, but not her.

we won't know for sure until she has the baby.

she gave birth this morning to a 6 lb 11 oz boy. his umbilical cord had detached, starving him.
