It says BNFL ... it stands for British Neuclear Fuels. I think BNFL owns Sellafield.

I believe it's BNFL and it has something to do with the company that runs the Sellafield plant. I don't have my U2: at the end of the world book with me - but I'm almost positive it talks about what that means.

As for the picture, I have another one taken at around the same time, but he doesn't have that white suit on and he's lacing up his docs. Gotta love that.

Yeah, cuz the goofball figured he'd just wear his boots because he thought the boat would land on the shore and all he'd have to do was hop out. One of the women in charge of getting them all in the boat and to the shore was aghast at Bono's thinking that he could just 'hop out'. Everyone scurried to try and find him a pair. They couldn't. So, I think the same girl quipped, "that's OK, Bono... we know you can walk on water." or something like that.

Toooo freakin' funny.

oh, and the picture of them trying to spell out FOAD? notice I said, 'tried'?? LOL... they were being taught by Paul McG and he was trying to show them how to spell out stuff while standing facing them. They got it all backwards and as Bill Flanagan said in his book (something like) "U2 is not known for their choreography skills." Not only that, but I think Bono stabbed Edge in the eye with his flag and then they all started play fighting, using their flags as swords. heh.

What a bunch of goobers.
