Girls, who in your view, seems to have taken lyric lessons at the Bono School?? I know most lyrics nowadays are pretty dull, boring, angst-ridden or just plain angry.

So I just downloaded some of the Tribute to America songs, including Sheryl Crow's "Safe & Sound"...I looked up the lyrics and OMG!!

That song SO made me CRY...

It's VERY Bono-y (I thought). Here's the lyrics:

----
Safe & Sound - Sheryl Crow

Maybe this is forever...forever fades away
Maybe this is a rocket into space
I don?t wanna be sad
I don?t wanna break down
After all I won?t let go
Til you're safe and sound
Til you're safe and sound
There's beauty in relief
After all we?ve seen
You and me

I don't blame you for quitting
Know you really tried
Maybe we can hold on through the night
Cause I don?t wanna be lonely
I don?t wanna be scared
All our friends are waiting there
Til you're safe and sound
Til you're safe and sound
There's beauty in release
No one left to please
But you and me

Til you're safe and sound

Feel like I could have held on
Feel like I could have let go
Feel like I could have helped you
Feel like I could have changed you
Feel like I could have held on
Feel like I could have hugged you
Feel like I was a stranger
Feel like I was an angel

Feel like I was an hero
Feel like I was a zero
Feel like I could have touched you
Feel like I could have saved you
Feel like I could have held you
Feel like I could have moved you
Feel like I could have healed you
Feel like I could have told you

Feel like I could have loved you
Feel like I could have loved you
Feel like I could have loved you
Feel like I could have loved you
Feel like I could have loved you
Feel like I could have loved you

Feel like I could have loved you...

I don't think so. Sheryl is a great singer and a great composer too. But I don't see any "big" resemblance to the lyrics of Bono.

But this is only an opinion

Ahhh! I hope not. I dislike Creed, I don't
think that they are very talented.

"Larry has a heavy foot it is an extordiry thing, you know, to have to stand in front of that drum kit. It is like getting a good kicking on a nightly basis." ~Bono

Same here.. that CD was a waste of my $15. Scott Stapp thinks he's Jesus..... yeah a lot of people think Bono believes he is God but at least he is able to make fun of himself and admit that there was a time when he may have acted that way....

Agh. I used to think Creed was okay, but ever since I've seen comments of their manager, people who like them, etc. and also since I have developed a deep hate for their songs, I have started to hate them quite a bit. :p A few months ago, their manager said they predicted Creed's new album would be "their Joshua Tree". UGH!
And I watched Rock & Religion on VH1, and someone was talking about Creed and saying that it was amazing, this man with long hair who made good rock music (I think that is what he said.. I can't remember exactly what he said) that was Christian. :p :p Stupid stupid stupid!
