o_O go ahead. SHOW ME YER THEME SONG.

Mona (I Need You Baby) ~Rolling Stones

I say hey, Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona

I tell you Mona what I wanna do
I'll build a house next door to you
Can I see you sometimes?
We can blow kisses through the blinds
Yeah can I out come out on the front
And listen to my heart go bumpety bump
I need you baby that's no lie
Without your love I'd surely die

I say hey, Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona

I say hey, hey Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona

I tell you Mona what I wanna do
I'm gonna build a house next door to you
Can I see you sometime?
We can blow kisses through the blinds
Yeah can I out come out on the front
And listen to my heart go bumpety bump
I need you baby that's no lie
Without your love I'd surely die

I say hey, hey Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona

Or your Bonorail.

If Bonorails do indeed float.....

in which case.....

There's lots of songs with my name in them! There's "Proud Mary" by both CCR and Tina Turner. Bruce Springsteen has also done a couple of songs where the name Mary is mentioned like "Thunder Road" and "Mary's Place." I think that's really cool since I love The Boss.

Actually, I think my theme song is Bruce's Dancing in the Dark. It defintly describes my life. But as far as songs with my name in it...

Elton John - "Emily"
Moody Blues - "Emily's Song"
Simon and Garfunkel - "For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her"

...the only one I'm really familiar with is the Simon and Garfunkel song. And, sadly, it's not one of my favorite S&G songs. I much perfer Sound of Silence and The Boxer.

Of course, someday my rock star hubby will write a song for me and call it "Emily." Talk to me then. :D

Bratty comes from The Ramones song "Beat On The Brat" And I just added Irish and Punk to it.

Ahem, I cant think of any songs with my real name[Colleen] or middle name[Casey.]

I remember the very first time I heard "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" I was about 5 and I really and truly thought that the song was written for ME!!!

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds

Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with caleidoscope eyes.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she's gone.

Chorus:
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds, ah, ah

Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies.
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
That grow so incredibly high.

Newspaper taxis appear on the shore
Waiting to take you away
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds
And you're gone.

Chorus

Picture yourself on a train in a station
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,
The girl with caleidoscope eyes.

Chorus

Michelle- The Beatles

Fly High Michelle- by some 80's hair band I forgot the name of:slant:

oh mandy.... yes by barry manilow *SNIFF

Will have to steal ZA's song as I cant think of an Amanda one and I certainly cant think of a Jody one for my middle name.

There are none for my first name (Abby or Abigail), but there is "Goodnight Elisabeth" by Counting Crows, and Elisabeth is my middle name.:shifty:

i'm not dead yet.....

"think of laura" by christopher cross

Every once in a while I'd see her smile
And she'd turn my day around
A girl with those eyes
Could stare through the lies
And see what your heart was saying

Think of Laura but laugh don't cry
I know she'd want it that way
When you think of Laura laugh don't cry
I know she'd want it that way

A friend of a friend
A friend to the end
That's the kind of girl she was
Taken away so young
Taken away without a warning

I know you and you're here
In every day we live
I know her and she's here
I can feel her when I sing

Hey Laura, where are you now
Are you far away from here
I don't think so
I think you're here
Taking our tears away

it's an interesting song.....or something

oh my dad?

OMD - CHRISTINE

From the album "Liberator"

as the sun descends too quickly
behind the distant city
she will ride under the water
she will leave her son and daughter

reduced to lying naked
to feed those she holds sacred
she is bare of clothes and beauty
on disply in her nudity

if someone calls her name out
all she ever hears are cars
through the window in the bathroom
through the broken glass and bars

seeking comfort in the wallet
where she placed eighty dollars
when the last one has departed
she can slide into the darkness

and slowly down the river
the current pulls her under
and it bathes her in its splendor
is unmoved by her surrender

and faint through the water
the lights like brittle stars
someone called her name out
she no longer hears the cars

Christine...

Well, I can't really think of any songs for my first name...cept that stupid Eminem song "Kim" and I don't particularly want to claim that song...

But my parents always told me they had written "The First Noel" just for me :) (Noelle is my middle name cause I'm a Christmas Eve baby)

LOL! Hippy, please don't claim the Eminem song.

I actually found a couple of songs called "Brianne" on Napster and its less celebrated successors. By bands I'd never heard of, and they were pretty crappy ... but still cool, because I never thought I'd hear my name in a song. One of them had a chorus that was like:

"It's getting cold and it's getting dark
Brianne don't you wanna come home?"

And the chorus to the other one just went:

"Briaaaaanne Briannne Briiiiiannnnne...
Brianne Briaaaanne Briannnnne..."

Heh heh. Pretty quality.

If you're having trouble finding a song, I recommend going to CDnow.com and searching for a song title using just your name. You might be surprised to have stuff come up.

they found out about me

SKASMAPOLITAN - SLUT NAMED RACHEL

There's this girl I know from school
I wonder why she thinks she's cool
Cause everybody knows
She's just that slut named Rachel

She's a slut, she's debonnaire
Yeah, she'll take it anytime, take it anywhere
Yeah, and she likes you too
But don't believe it
Cause you're nothing new

She don't care just what she's saying
She don't care just who she's playing
She only wants to be with you now
She said "I don't want to know your name
It doesn't matter anyway
I just want to play the game
I can get away"

There's this girl I know from school
I wonder why she thinks she's cool
Cause everybody knows
She's just that slut named Rachel

And all the boys just sit and stare
And want to watch her twirl her hair
They don't want to share
They want that slut named Rachel

She's a slut with painted hair
Well she might be blonde but she's not down there
Yeah, so take a number
And don't forget to bring a rubber

She don't care just what she's saying
She don't care just who she's playing
She only wants to be with you now
She said "I don't want to know your name
It doesn't matter anyway
I just want to play the game
I can get away"

There's this girl I know from school
I wonder why she thinks she's cool
Cause everybody knows
She's just that slut named Rachel

And all the boys just sit and stare
And want to watch her twirl her hair
They don't want to share
They want that slut named Rachel

Take your time, take your chance
Just don't zip and drop your pants
Take your time, take your chance
But don't expect romance

She don't care just what she's saying
She don't care just who she's playing
She only wants to be with you now
She said "I don't want to know your name
It doesn't matter anyway
I just want to play the game
I can get away"

There's this girl I know from school
I wonder why she thinks she's cool
Cause everybody knows
She's just that slut named Rachel

And all the boys just sit and stare
And want to watch her twirl her hair
They don't want to share
They want that slut named Rachel

I tried it and found a pretty cool jazz number by Charlie Parker which was named Kim... I'll proudly claim that one :)

Jody/Amanda...

There was also a song by an Aussie former soap star named Craig Mclachlan called

"Im in love with a girl called Amanda"

Im in love with
Im in love with
Im in love
with a girl
called Amanda

It was MUCH worse than Mandy, oh god
I'm never called Mandy either :slant:

I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen
by Thomas P. Westendorf

I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen
Across the ocean wild and wide
To where your heart has ever been
Since first you were my bonnie bride.
The roses all have left your cheek.
I've watched them fade away and die
Your voice is sad when e'er you speak
And tears bedim your loving eyes.

Oh! I will take you back, Kathleen
To where your heart will feel no pain
And when the fields are fresh and green
I'II take you to your home again!

I know you love me, Kathleen, dear
Your heart was ever fond and true.
I always feel when you are near
That life holds nothing dear, but you.
The smiles that once you gave to me
I scarcely ever see them now
Though many, many times I see
A dark'ning shadow on your brow.

To that dear home beyond the sea
My Kathleen shall again return.
And when thy old friends welcome thee
Thy loving heart will cease to yearn.
Where laughs the little silver stream
Beside your mother's humble cot
And brightest rays of sunshine gleam
There all your grief will be forgot.

Oh! I will take you back, Kathleen
To where your heart will feel no pain
And when the fields are fresh and green
I'II take you to your home again!

there's no songs that have my full first name, Angela, but there's a few with my nickname Angie, and there's TONS with my other nickname, Angel ("Angel Of Harlem" being one of them, which I find really cool :D).

An example of a song with my nickname Angie would be "Angie" by the Rolling Stones. :). Good song.
