I used to take my cat for a walk. I put a harness on him, you can't use a collar. You have to get a special cat harness from the pet store.

my friend had no garden and used to take her pet rabbit for walks in the park using a harness.

I named her Belle, because when I adopted her from the shelter, she had no hair on her ears (they told me it was because of frostbite) and she looked all mangy and pitiful...so I wanted to give her a name that meant beauty, cuz I knew she was a purty kitty on the inside And now the hair has grown back and her coat is all nice... she's my cutie pie! And she loves to cuddle... I could cuddle her all day and she would just soak it up.

And Moochie was a stray that our family took in...but she's always been my baby, so when I moved out, I took her with me.

We named her Mooch cuz she was always hanging around our house, trying to mooch food from us. Then we realized she was pregnant, so we made a nice little shelter for her outside and she gave birth, etc. The kittens were so cute... must find those pics and scan 'em. Anyway, our mom had told us we could only keep one, either a kitten or the mom. Well, we knew kittens had a better chance of being adopted, so we kept mom and named her Mooch!

She's been my baby for 11 years now... I've only had Belle for two.

I've always wanted to volunteer at the local animal shelter but I think I would cry every day that I had to leave without an animal. Plus I'm a little afraid of cats but I'm getting better. All my friends have at least one and I'm slooooowly starting to go to their houses and have some contact with their kitties.

well this thread inspired me to look into voluntering at the humane society so I looked on their website. Currently they are taking applications for people to take in mothers with their litters. That's it. I don't think that works for me. The only part time job openings they have are bingo callers. That doesn't work for me either.



I want to buy a little puppy and name him Linus (yes as in Linus from the Peanuts gang. I him)
