I was reading "Into The Heart" the other day and read that "Lemon" had something to do with a film that Bono's mother and father was in. Bono's thought about seeing his mother in this film was "She was wearing lemon" and that is where the title of this song came from. My question is this. What exactly is wearing "Lemon"?

i know that a "lime" is a spotlight. i kinda assumed a lemon was the same. that's a guess though.

"She wore Lemon" stands for a yellow dress Bono's mom was wearing...
Beautiful song, I almost cry when I hear it

I had a feeling it had something to do with a dress, but I was not sure if that was correct. The song took on a whole different meaning after I read the story behind the song. Thanks!

I'm listening right now to it

She wore lemon... never in the daylight...

that's probably another reason why i thought that. he sees her in the spotlight, and it's never duriong the day, but at night (an actress, a singer at a night club?)

but i also had thoughts of the dress thing too.
