Oh sugar, don't you cry
Oh child, wipe the tears from your eyes
You know I need you to be strong
And the day is as dark as the night is long
Feel like trash, you make me feel clean
I'm in the black, can't see or be seen

FYI...in California its $42 to buy the plates and I think its only around $25 per year after that. It's well worth it for me

'Tis $30 plus the regular plate fee here in Michigan. I think it's only a one-time thing too. *starts plotting*

Ooooh, this thread skipped past me... I have no idea how.

Don't worry Sicy... we'll bump it up for ya.

Here's my contribution... complete with an Edge signature (I didn't attach my front plate to my truck when I got them...

)

I have a really cool license plate frame around the plate on my truck:

"Happiness is... BEING AT A U2 CONCERT!"

To answer questions about how much it costs:

[*]The specialized plate I have cost $30.00

[*]To get it personalized is an extra $40.00

[*]To renew it, I pay $40.00.

I figure the extra $40.00 I pay a year is a donation on behalf of U2 for the Arts Conservancy.

A website that's really helpful for those of you in CA that want to look into getting an Environmental plate or an Arts plate: http://plates.ca.gov/ You can even check to see if what you want to put on your plate is available.

I love my plate. I've had it since '99. I don't know how I managed, but I got it. Yay!

March thee to the nearest mall (I hate 'em but they function for some things... LOL). Most every mall has one of those little kiosks that make license plate frames, keychains, etc. You can pick the color you want (mine's green with white writing) and you're allowed a certain amount of spaces on the top and on the bottom. It's all computerized and the thing drills out the letters. It's pretty dang cool.

Summer I think you are talking about this pic

A friend took this pic and although the plates are similar the one Bono is holding are Virginia plates.

U2 plates, however, my car is as old as I am (23) and if I get a new car, can I transfer my U2 plates to another car??
That is my major concern right now.....

You should be able to transfer the plates to a different car, just call your DMV.

We transfered the BTFLDAY from my car to Rick's truck when I got the OHMYBONO...it took a little extra paperwork but was fairly easy to do. I usually do those kinds of transactions at Auto Club because you don't have to deal with DMV and all the lines.

*in California anyway, I don't know how it works in other states or Canada.
