the answer is yes... thing is, I don't know how the DMV works, but AAA (Automobile Club) also functions as a DMV and they rocked. All I had to do was pay the fees and the plates were transferred. I actually just had to give them the old plates.

So, U2 Elevate Me.. is very special to me because the Elevation tour was the first time I've seen U2 since 1987.
Also, when I look at the plate I see LV as Las Vegas, which is the last place I saw U2.

I would have done that!!

In fact, when we drove from Copenhagen to Stockholm between the shows there, we got passed by a minivan and since we had U2 posters and stuff in the windows they saw that we were fans so they put up the albums in their windows and we waved. Then we had to go for gas and they were behind us now and they followed us to the gas station. And we went totally wrong and they did the same. LOL It was funny....

First off... YAY, SICY! Wooooo Hoooo!

Second....Let's just say that my math teacher friend at my school teases me because, hey, I'm an English teacher and I, of all people, should *know* how to spell "Rocks" - he pronounces it "Roke". So, when he got his new plate, I proceeded to photocopy a particular page in the dictionary and blew it up on the copier as big as it would go. I then highlighted the word "RACER" and wrote in marker next to it that it does not have an extra "E" in the word.

He got a kick out of that.

He says he can get away with the extra "E" in the word because he's a math teacher, he doesn't have to know how to spell. heh. What a doofus.
