I don't care for scruffy Bono either. I can deal with it as long as he has hair, but that stubbly face combined with the stubbly head and he just looks so gnarly and creepy I'm running away screaming. I prefer clean shaven, smooth faced baby Bono- with hair.

While I do prefer him in long hair and leather, no doubt about it, I would not send him away if he showed up some other way.

And I have not once, ever, criticized ANYONE for liking this band one way or the other, etc. So I don't think I'm being at all patronizing. Just trying to be lighthearted, which obviously fell flat.
