I should also mention Jeremy Brett, the most amazing actor to play Sherlock Holmes--you'll have seen him on PBS and A&E. I now know that I had a major crush on him when I was 13-16. Unfortunately, he died when I was 16.

He was about 60 when he died and in the last episodes he looks like an old, ill man. But in the first episodes he was about 50, and he looks AMAZING, if you like the tall/thin/tortured look. I have been somewhat in love with Sherlock Holmes for much of my life, and I adored him. Still do. I would say that all in all he's my favourite actor.
