I remember having to save my lunch money for a whole week so i could buy the album


The first thing i did with my first pay cheque that August was go and buy every U2 album released to date on vinyl and cassette

I still have my JT cassette from 87, I've never bothered to buy the cd version (The really funny thing being that the ghetto blaster I play it on I've had since I was 14 It's a wonder both of them are still going! )

I still have all my cassettes and vinyl as well as having them all on CD and MP3

Remember in 1987 CD players and CD's were so expensive

I also still have my JT cassette from 1987. It's the first U2 album I ever bought. Memories ...

^ That was the first one I bought too... and I ended up not buying another one until HTDAAB - then I started playing catchup

I didn't get a CD or a CD player until I was 18, in 1996... although a friend of mine had insisted I buy JT and maybe AB a few years before that on casette. I didn't like the second half of JT at the time...
