I would like to think so, but just the other day some guy told me 'what do you know all you do is collect pics' It bothers me that we are sometimes treated with less credibility and respect when we venture to other parts of the forum because we're PLEBA girls.

Yeah, that irritates me, too. We do focus on other stuff besides looks (if the situation were reversed, I wonder how guys would feel if we were poking fun at their interests?). I don't like the rep PLEBA tends to get from others out there, either.

its a bit bothersome to know you guys dont feel comfortable outside here, some of you at least. i understand why, the pleba 'bashing' is old and still as annoying today as ever. it always strikes me as weird how people criticise something they are most likely not a part of. like someone saying all you post is pics. whether this is true or not which it isn't, can only really be said by someone who reads in here. people who read/post in here cant criticise it, and if they did read/post then they'd know it was not actually true.

I guess I would sort of fall into that group, I started out in pleba and rarely post here anymore but do spend time in FYM and IO. For me it doesn't have to anything to do with caring about what other people think, I mean it's always going to be pretty obvious from my username. I could really care less about what people on the internet think of me. I've stopped coming to pleba because I've gotten tired of looking at the same pics every week on a dial up connection. I'll probably come back when some new pics start circulating after the new album, and U2 has also sort of been in the back of my mind for a while too since the initial fanaticism of a being a new fan has worn off. I post in fym because of the huge amount of interest i have in social/political issues (i'm working on a sociology BA and a poly sci major).
