Don't ever tell my best friend or half the people I work with that you're applying to U of M .... I know a lot of Michigan State grads. And they're very proud Michigan State grads.

However, Michigan is the more prestigious school.

I didn't go to either one of them.

That would be the University of Michigan, sami. Their mascot is the wolverine, their colors are maize (gold) and blue. Their main campus is in Ann Arbor, west of Detroit. I applied there myself five years ago to go to library school, but they didn't let me in. Their loss.

Michigan State University is their bitter rival (in football, especially). Their colors are green and white and their mascot is the Spartan.
