Okay, I think that last song just about did me in, and it's time for bed. ;)

Thanks for reading/listening along with me. I debated deleting the whole damned thing - seems like a terribly self indulgent thing to do while I'm bored, that no one else would give a rats ass about...and if you don't, I don't blame you. I'd be bored too.

But I was thinking...if I were having a U2 listening party, who would I like to listen/discuss with? And the answer was - you guys. I guess this is the next best thing. :)

Love you all...night.

"I went in the studio in Dublin recently with them and did a song that Bono had written for me. I'd had it for five years and we finally got together and recorded it," he says. "It's called "Slow Dancing" - it's a great song. I don't know when it's gonna come out. They just gave it to me and said I could put it out anywhere, anyway, I wanted to. I was kind of hoping they'd put it out on their album - they sell more than I do." Cue, more laughter. "Might as well go for the big audience. They're great. All of them are great guys." Willie Nelson.

And I bring you the Willie and U2 version of Slow Dancing, studio version. :)

Scarlet eyes and a see-through heart
I saw it coming right from the start
She picked me up, but had me down on my knees
Just a' begging her, please...

Ahhh....live version of Radar Love.

This song reminds me of a very good friend....strictly platonic. I miss him, wonder how he is. A great guy. He used to "sing" this all the time. :)

An awesome guy who was there for me through some really shiity times....this one's for you, Mike...sorry we lost touch. I miss you. :)

"when I get lonely and the longing is too much...she sends a comfort coming in from above...

;)

Daydream Believer live - Edge on vocals. :cute:

This song is so sacchirine sweet it'll give you cavities just listening to it, but I love it anyway. ;)

The best part of the Popmart gigs... singing along with Edge....

Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.
Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.

Give's me goose bumps remembering it....

And while we're onto the sickening sweet covers portion of the show, why not Abba's Dancing Queen? With a special appearance by Bjorn and Benny.

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine ohh yaaa
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
Ooo.. see that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Wild's waving arms above here head swaying as Bono sings......(sang a bit at my first gig)

And who does this sound like???

You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance

An unreleased rarity from the War era.... Be There.

I was listening to this song and these lyrics :combust:

Ah, she whispered, she said 'I need you now')
(Ah, she said 'don't worry, please me now')
You don't have to worry, have to worry
If I fall apart
You don't have to wear strings
Or do those things
You're enough in my heart
