What was it that Larry said at the end of the second Detroit concert, Jo?

Something about 'Bono told me to say thanks' or something like that

Hope all is well with everyone.

I attended another virtual U2 concert on Second Life last night, and yes, I flirted shamelessly with the virtual Adam Clayton again!!! I wasn't the only one, though...the girls love the Silver Fox!!! After the "show," I got to say hi to virtual Bono and Adam. Bono said Adam had a "live one" because I blew the bass man a kiss!!!

Sigh. SIGH. I wish that was the real world!

Yeah, I think so.

You think I remember much about that night besides being in the ellipse?

 I know, I just remember thinking how cute he was then saying 'what did he say?' Larry just said something into the mic... :faint:

Hi Diane  I blew Adam a couple of kisses at the second Toronto show

 I love his smug little smirk when he's in his 'I am the epitome of sex and rock&roll' mood

  everyone.

Second Life is a game like The Sims that you play online. You build houses, buy stuff, even start small businesses making things. They also have several newspapers and magazines, which I'm going to start trying to write for real soon. You can make Lindens, their dollar equivalent: 1000 Lindens are approx. $4.01 U.S. money right now. Then you can convert the Lindens into $$$. A few people make a full-time living from doing this; I'd like to do something for some extra cash.

Anyway, there is a virtual U2 on Second Life, and they sometimes do concerts. The soundtrack has been a show from Detroit last year, in which they did Gloria, Bad and Crumbs! It's a lot of fun and I'd like to see lots of PLEBAns playing it too hint hint hint!!! (A basic account is free.)

And the pre-recorded phone calls :madwife:

I really hate the mail/phone calls which make reference to all these 'awful' things the 'liberals' are doing - and I'm thinking 'Hey! I AM one of those liberals!' :grumpy:

SG, who shows fantastic taste once again...a liberal Adam fan!!!!! Like me!!!!!!

Great minds think alike!!!!

The Oct. 25, 2005 show, right? Great show. I loved it.

Jo!!!  How are you???

Second Life has Info Island, a place with a library that is staffed by real life reference librarians. You could look up information there, and they hold classes on building things, book discussions and the like. One of the librarians calls herself Puglet Dancer or something like that, and has a pug on a leash that she travels around with!

Libraries and pugs

Diane!

At work the other week, I swear I got a calendar listing notice for a seminar on "How to make money in Second Life." And our area's alternative newspaper has written about Second Life.

Didn't know they had their own library ... :hmm:

That's amazing...while at my library today, I was thinking about how I can teach a class there on Second Life, including making money!!!

I just hope I'm not getting in on this too late...they've signed up hundreds of thousands of new players in the past two months, including me.

It is so very, very addictive, I spend hours playing it after work. But if I could write for a paper there, or teach classes, or some such thing, it would be a great part-time opportunity, and I wouldn't even have to leave the house to do it. :hmmm:

Of course, I could join an escort service...they have plenty of those places too! And my avatar is smoking hawt!!!

I'm pretty good. They've shut off our water for the night though....damn maintenance :madwife:

My bathtub/shower stall's been torn apart since Thursday. They were supposed to start retiling the walls and floor yesterday morning but didn't come back to my apartment. They'd better come back tomorrow. Damn maintenence contractors, indeed.

:madwife:

Weldy

Jo

You wanna know what's worse than having elections commericals?

Having OTHER countries election commercials.

Altho, I am amused about what's going on in Buffalo. Each commercial features a new person auctioning themselves for less and less money...

Hi! I'm so&so, and I refuse to work for the full wage, so I'll only be accepting 75%!

Hi I'm idoncare and i beleive in doing good. So I intend to only accept 50% of my wage and donate the rest to charity.

Hi! I'm old guy, and my greatest reward is working for you the people! And that's why I will only be paid a dollar a day.
