I think a lot of the waning interest in picture threads is that there's not a mass of new pictures like there were on the tour, so all the pictures around we've all seen a hundred times.
Once they start making a lot of public appearances there will be a lot of newbies and new pictures and this place will pick up, fear not

Maybe I'm a freak or something. I just never get tired of looking at the pics like I don't get tired of the songs, and after they haven't been seen for awhile, they look good all over again. There are so many, there's no way every person could have seen every one. I'm just a hopeless Bonoholic and pic fanatic. It's my favorite hobby and it makes me happy. I could never get sick of those pics! I just can't imagine anyone going, 'oh well, there's more pics of Bono, ho hum' because I always like looking! Must be I'm more hung up on him than a lot of you and I really like looking at him, and I don't care how many times I see him. The more the better!

Well, I read through this thread and I really don't understand why anyone is upset. I don't see anything wrong with the 'atmosphere' here. Different people have different personalities and like different stuff, and we can't force everyone to accept our views of acceptability. Like, what you consider to be 'small things' other people could consider to be very 'anal.' That's why there have to be rules and borders that should be honored. This isn't just a message board, this is a large community viewed by multitudes and a certain level of integrity needs to be respected. Other topics can always be kept in PMs. I think this board is pretty darn lenient. I'd be pickier if it were mine. Chill out and enjoy it for what it is, which is really a lot of fun.

My point is...I never thought PLEBA was that bad, even back in the glory days, it was more innuendo than anything...but that made it fun. Now it's so slow in here its mind-numbing.

Wow, when I first joined Interference it was because of all the craziness in PLEBA!

I don't post as much as others round here, but I do lurk everyday, and while it's not the same as it used to be, I find it is still a place where we can share our love for a band without all the guys on Interference making us feel like children because we think the band members are hot.

I understand respect towards U2 is very important, and I completely agree. But, this was a place where you can talk about how HOT Bono was in his leather and not have someone of the opposite sex berate you for it.

It was a haven for horniness.

But I must say, when I first saw the "elevated" thread, I thought I had died and gone to heaven...it made Bono more real to me, more human. I know it sounds weird, but it just did.

i like PLEBA the way it is now. there were too many fights breaking out in the days and i have to admit i was apart of some. but i agree we need to respect the band and their music and not talk about their elevations.
