We're way too busy for a dog - poor guy would be so lonely. Even our kitty is starting to get lonely - we might get a kitten for her to take care of.

We had an Irish Setter growing up - good memories. :love:

Penny (our collie) was such a sweetheart. She was just like Lassie. Very caring, and gentle. But a good guard dog too. The power meter reading guy used to bring doggie treats with him so he could read our meter because Penny would be nipping his arse all the way. We lived in the country, so a leash wasn't needed. You could call her from anywhere and she'd show up, tail in the air so happy to see you. She was also like me, petrified of thunder as a kid. So when it stormed she'd meet up in my room with me (she wasn't supposed to be upstairs) and we'd get through it together. I miss her so much.

She is in my dreams alot. I guess she is living on inside my subconscious.
 
Blehhhh, I started feeling sick so went off to take a nap. Still feel icky, but have work due tonight. I briefly skimmed what I missed of the thread, but from what I gather, if I go to Canada, I will be greeted by Edge dressed as a mountie? I'm good with that.

Aww, thanks. No, I'll be fine. I'm just supremely frustrated with a friend not calling me back. We're supposed to hang out tomorrow at a hockey event, and she hasn't been in touch in days. I don't know if she's even still available to hang. If she isn't, I want to be able to give the ticket to someone else. But since I have the run in the morning, I won't have time to make other arrangements.

Bleargh. It's really not that big of a deal, but it's pissing me off. She goes MIA a lot of the time, and I wish she'd at least send me a text or whatever so I know what's up.

Ugh, that is annoying. I have a friend that last minute cancels plans all the time, drives me nuts! She should at least let you know if she's going or not!

Pretend I posted you some hot U2 porn here, 'cause I still feel icky and am too lazy to go hunt some down. But the thought is there.

I love her to bits, but in the past year she's gotten really bad at this. :sigh: Just tried to call her again, but no answer. I'm going to send her an email before I go to bed in a few minutes, and if she doesn't respond by the morning, then I'm giving up her ticket to someone else. She told me earlier in the week that she wanted to come, but if she's not going to answer her damn phone, email or texts, then she loses out. :shrug:

I won't have much time between when my run ends and when I have to leave the house for the event (ie: enough time to shower and eat something quickly), but there's always hope she might respond. If not, I'm sure I'll have no problem finding someone else to go with me, even if it is last minute.

Not that I know of. But then again we've been talking a lot less lately, so I don't really know what's up with her. I know she's hibernating and ignoring the real world a lot, but I can't really say much to her about that, since I do a lot of that too. :lol:
