I'm deathly allergic to cats, but I did have one for about a month. Puma. I loved him, even if he slept on my face and tried to kill me...

My brother (he's 5) went and set the phone off the hook in the sitting room so I would get up and put it back so he could turn off my monitor! :grumpy:

You know the place where I was temping since Aug? Well, they were all set to hire me, but their HR dept was making me go through the same checks I did through the agency to temp there (credit/criminal/references) - no advantage to being a temp transferring to permanent...

I'd been stupid about a student loan over 5 yrs ago, and as such the agency had considered me a low risk and sent me to the job.. well, for the place I was too high a risk and not only did they not hire me, they took me off the floor :sad: :sad: So I've been unemployed since the 23rd :sigh:

As far as the agency's concerned I'm still employable, and my data entry skills "speak for themselves". As well, where I worked is well known to all the major banks, so they know what the work is like and the volume I've dealt with there. Apparently the agency is also getting into a really busy time, so with the data entry scores and the scores on the Word and Excel tests I did last week they're sure I'll have another placement really soon.

Sarah just brought the brownish tabby downstairs, the one we're keeping. I told her (the kitten) that's she's so pretty, I'm tempted to skin her and make something pretty out of her. Sarah took her back and explained to her that I'm just kidding. :cute: :lol:

That is so insanely stupid. Really. :| My bank (well, credit union, really) has merged with a bunch of others and since then, their service has sucked. A year or so ago, there was a withdrawal made on my account that shouldn't have been, and it resulted in an NSF. I called to try to straighten it out, and told the teller, someone pretty high up who has been there for years that it was a mistake, and I'd never bounced a cheque/had an nsf. She said to me "I wish I could say the same," implying of course, that she had. By the standards they're holding you to, she shouldn't even have a job!!

Is that the tabby that has really striking stripes in the pic of the kttens suckling on mama? So many kittens, they need little ID tags so i know which one is which. :lol:
