Hey anyone remember this? :reject:

Ah, the good 'old' days...:sexywink:

And on the mild subject of Depeche Mode, they are all I have been listening to lately. (If you want proof check out the 'Now Playing' thread in the music section.) :reject:

Dave Gahan has a hypnotic voice, I swear. But he doesn't hold a candle to Bono. I've even listened to his solo albums, and even though he isn't a very good lyricist, he can sing regardless. I really wanted to see them as well this September, but prior engagements in college and money keep me from doing so. If it were U2, you better bet your sweet money I'd find a way to be there.

:sexywink:
One for me

So, so much going on in these little nuggets of hotness. Who knew a man ripping his own bodice could be so sexy? And Edge holds that thing like... well, what it is. And the two of them are so... what they are. It's not the ipod ad, but are you allowed to post that one of Bono pinning Edge's arms from behind and biting his neck while he solos out here?

 exactly. I missed buying tix in the beginning of the sale and I don't want to pay like $200 for a shitty seat secondhand now. For Bono or U2 though... yeah I'd pay in a heartbeat.

DM has always been on the outermost musical radar for me, but i suddenly feel the need to see them now. I skipped REM on their last tour because of $ and I was all like oh well next tour for sure, then the bastards broke up. LOL.
And I agree with all of that about DG. He looks better in his off stage promo photo shoots than he does on stage I think, LOL, but he looks like a fun performer, and I do like his voice.

Sure, of them on stage? Which one though? :hmm:

Not done yet, babe, not done yet. Let me see if I can find it in my inbox, because I foolishly didn't save when I saw it. I think it was short hair Bono... Pop probably...

Incidentally, I love Bono and all but he dominated the GIF threads by like 95%! My favorites were the hair porn ones but I do think the world needs more Edge gifs.

I really like Depeche Mode. To date myself, I saw them years ago with the Violator tour. I think Stripped, Judas, I Feel You, Blue Dress are my faves.

Funny you were talking about REM as we were talking about them today at a friends house.

I've read the rumours about the new tour. I'm waiting to see. I'm excited I got Pearl Jam tickets. I do like their newer stuff and in 1991, I said that I preferred them to Nirvana. It's been 15 years since I've seen them so it should be a good show.

Wow, that's a trip down memory lane seeing that commercial again. :)

I haven't heard or seen any of these rumours, but I guess I've just tuned them out until an album release is actually announced. I never believe anything any of them say any more. LOL. :tsk:

Well, I'm officially unemployed. Yesterday was my last day of work, and it was a huge event that I'd spent months and months planning and organizing. All hell broke loose a number of times, I sobbed uncontrollably about five times, but then the day ended with a perfect dinner and people giving me a standing ovation for my work, so that was really sweet. And of course I cried again. LOL. I hate being emotional in front of people but I was just so exhausted that the tears just kept coming and coming. Oh well. :)

Probably because I made about 95% of the gifs.  What do you expect?

JK. There are many talented gif makers here, at least there used to be, but I do get distracted by the Bono frequently. Even waaaay back, some of the super oldies were made by my daughter for me, and yeah... Bono. :reject:

I do make gifs of them all though, really i do. :D

Found it!

Seems like I imagined the neckbiting though. Or maybe that was a 360 one?

Oh yes, I enjoyed the making of that series. :shifty:

There are some other neck biting gifs around too. I know there is a Vertigo one for sure. :hmm:

More DM suggestions for me, Yay thanks! :applaud:

Which tour rumours are you talking about? Which band? Maybe you just mean U2 but since other bands have been discussed on this page i wasn't sure!

How are Mommy and Gloria doing? How about big sister? Everything going smoothly I hope!? :cute:

Speak of the lost Larry lovers! :cute:

Aww  sounds like a very emotional day. But what a great way to end it. It sounds like that job meant a lot and I'm sorry you have to start over again. :( I wish you the best luck for finding something new again soon.

 You say Larry, and I make a surprise visit.

Yup, definitely emotional. I was ZONKED last night. I had a glass of wine then passed out hard. I've spent most of the day today on the couch watching TV and relaxing. I just didn't want to venture out anywhere and see or talk to people.

Thank you. It sucks being unemployed again after a year, but I was somewhat prepared for that eventuality, since my contract was just for a year and they were under no obligation to renew that. I hope I find something soon too!

I do remember when you got it, and it was temporary, but still that's a long temporary time! After that long I'm sure you were so settled in and comfortable there, it just really sucks. I don't blame you for hibernating for a little while! I'd do the same. Take a little time for yourself if you can.

Yeah, I was definitely very settled and felt at home there. So many of my co-workers were shocked and upset that my contract wasn't renewed, because I felt like a part of the team. That was touching - that they liked me so much and wished I could have stayed. :)

Tomorrow morning I'm headed off to go visit my family for a week, so that will be nice. It hasn't rained at all this month, which is SO shocking and completely awesome, and (knock on wood) there is no rain in the forecast either for the foreseeable future. The weather should be great, so I'll be able to relax, read a lot, and just enjoy the time off. I definitely deserve it after the insanity of the last few weeks. :)

I'm sorry, I meant the U2 tour rumors of the 3 different shows. Rolling Stone posted something about it. I saw it on Facebook. There were three scenarios. It is probably in the articles and news thread since it's not a tweet. :sexywink:

My two favorite albums by DM are Music for the Masses and Violator. And if you like 'Just Can't Get Enough' check out Erasure. Vince Clarke helped found DM and left for a more poppier/dancier sound. Vince Clarke was also one half of Yaz. There is my symposium on early English pop music.

The family is doing pretty well. Grace is getting used to her sister. The honeymoon is over. She is realizing that I am home, but cannot play all the time because Gloria needs me too. We've had a few 'why did we get her?' and 'I wish we didn't get her'. Then I ask if we should get rid of her. She doesn't want that.

Last night we were driving home from a friends house and Gloria was NOT happy. Grace was usually a happy baby in the car, and Gloria has been...but last night....not so much. Grace was not loving it and calling Gloria's crying 'annoying'. So, it's a learning experience for all of us. At the same time, we are preparing to move and well, 2013 will be the year of change.

*facepalm* Ummmmmm. Yum. :reject:

Stripped is one of my all time favorites. And A Question of Lust. UNFFFFFF.
And hoo boy Pearl Jam! They kick off on my birthday in Pittsburgh, and if we had any extra $$ right now, we'd be all over that. But we're strapped as it is and I am trying to save for what I hope is new U2 next year.

Oh and it's so cute to hear how the new siblings are doing. I was 3 1/2 when my sister was born, and about 3 weeks into it, I told my mom that I wanted to take her back to the hospital because all she did was cry.

When FroBaby was born, Lil' CK was very observant at first, and then got bored quickly as he realized she didn't do much. He was 6 so his level of curiosity waned back and forth over time.
And there was a GREAT moment soon after her homecoming that he mistook the "cord stump" for a penis during a diaper change and we had to explain the difference between girls and boys.

Let me see what I have in my Edge gifs I've made. :hmm: I'm sure there's a little something for you Edge girls. :sexywink:

I just got back from a few days in NYC and I don't know which is hotter--NYC in July or this thread! :combust:

I love the Red Rocks gifs. It's one of my fave moments. Love Edge's expression as he pushes B away! Priceless.

And where is that last gif from? What song is Bono singing? I don't think I've ever seen it before.
