I think this is an appropriate time for this...

"Okay...
This is a song that uhh..
There's a lot of Christmas songs out there and uhh..
not too many Chanukah songs.
So uhh..
I wrote a song for all those nice little Jewish kids who don't get to hear
any Chanukah songs.
Here we go..."

Put on your yarmulke
Here comes Chanukah
So much funukah
To celebrate Chanukah
Chanukah is the festival of lights
Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights

When you feel like the only kid in town without a Christmas tree
Here's a list of people who are Jewish just like you and me
David Lee Roth lights the menorah
So do James Caan, Kirk Douglas, and the late Dinah Shore-ah

Guess who eats together at the Carnegie Deli
Bowser from Sha Na Na and Arthur Fonzerelli
Paul Newman's half Jewish, Goldie Hawn's half too
Put them together, what a fine lookin' Jew

You don't need "Deck The Halls" or "Jingle Bell Rock"
'Cause you can spin a dreidel with Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock- both Jewish

Put on your yarmulke
It's time for Chanukah
The owner of the Seattle Supersonicahs
Celebrates Chanukah

O.J. Simpson, not a Jew
But guess who is? Hall of famer Rod Carew- he converted
We got Ann Landers and her sister Dear Abby
Harrison Ford's a quarter Jewish- not too shabby

Some people think that Ebenezer Scrooge is
Well he's not, but guess who is
All three Stooges
So many Jews are in showbiz
Tom Cruise isn't, but I heard his agent is

Tell your friend Veronica
It's time to celebrate Chanukah
I hope I get a harmonicah
Oh this lovely, lovely Chanukah
So drink your gin and tonicah
And smoke your marijuanikah
If you really, really wannakah
Have a happy, happy, happy, happy Chanukah
Happy Chanukah

OMG, you won't even believe it. We can't stop laughing. :lmao: :lmao: *tears*

We were supposed to go to my sister's for dinner tomorrow. Now, I think we may either end up at a Chinese restaurant, or else we'll be dropping my mom off at a soup kitchen (her idea). :lmao: :lmao: *can't breathe*

I'll try to make this brief, but most of it is just nonsensical. I suggest you don't try to make sense of it, cause if you do, your head will hurt. But this is proof, we're not dealing with sane people, here.

My sister calls me around 6 pm and says that she's sick, and so is my niece. Just headcolds, but you know how my mom's been this year with catching colds, goes to her lungs - hospital. And she just saw a cardiologist on Tuesday, but that's another story.

So..sis tells mom about the colds, mom says she's going anyway. I agree that my mom's a big girl, and will do whatever she wants anyway, there's nothing I can do to stop her. My sister said to let her know if we're still coming. I told her it would have been nice to know even yesterday so we could have gotten our own turkey.

Mom calls me next. Tells me about the colds, that they're just minor. I point out to her that they might be minor to my sister's family, but if she caught one, it could go right to her lungs...but that she's a grownup, go ahead and do what she wants. I said I'm unsure about going myself, but will probably decide to go in the morning, when I'm in a better mood.
