I was the first parent at the school last night, and those who know me well know that I'm rarely ever early for anything. :whistle:

Other kids were hugging their parents. When she got off the bus she ran to me, and we sorta just clung to each other for a while. :lol:

No, she didn't get to do the BD thing. :( On the way there, they were only at that airport for an hour, had to RUN to get to their terminal, and on the way back it should have been 45 minutes, and they ended up delaying the plane for an hour to wait for them. She did get a few pics though, including one that might be the glassed-in walkway that U2 walked through in the vid. :shifty:

No, I'm gonna finish my English studies, and then add on Chinese, Japanese and Russian (hopefully), and that's just three years! Then I can work as a translator, interpreter or high school teacher, in those subjects! :hyper:

D battery things *are* handy to have around though - flashlights, radios... ;)

I don't know why I keep thinking this....but he either likes Women's stuff just because, it had some profound effect on him mentally...because of something that happened to him when he was younger....good, bad or inbetween, or he wants to change sexes (The third option is a little streched in my mind....just based on what you said here).

No I saw the second one, I'll watch the first tomorrow. :lol: It kinda sucks, but it was on and I watched for like 5 minutes and couldn't stop!! :love:

Yeah, I felt like it took 5 minutes to watch the whole thing! I LOVED how it was like in real time, like the actual movie did take place over an hour and a half, and the first movie actually did come out 9 years earlier (know what I mean?) And I loved how the filming wasn't all choppy and it was like the camera just followed them without cutting off. It wasn't like you were watching a movie, it was like you were actually walking with them. I can't explain it! :lol: And I loved Julie Delpy's character! :love: And it just ended dead in the middle of a scene! :scream: :laugh:


So I saw that Sarah got great pictures! :drool: Can't wait to see and hear more!
 
Wild, if I'm being generous, which I usually am when I talk about this :lol: I speak seven languages, and understand nine (Dannish and Norweigian sort of comes with the Swedish automatically).
I should have kept to languages all along, I just could help but to slip into psychology... and I still want to study it!

That's why I thought it was a bit of a streched in my mind....and I know he doesn't to be a drag queen or dress up like Cher and do an act in Las Vegas :wink: :lmao:

Oh, duh. When I hear the titles, I have to stop and think of which is which. :)

About the one you saw, the cool thing is, Delpy and Hawke wrote most of the dialogue themselves, after getting to know their characters from the first one!! There are some personal things in it, too (Delpy herself really did study in NYC, at one point). And I've read about the filming technique, about the continuous takes, and although they knew were the conversations were going, a lot of it was adlibbed, so they wouldn't do takes over again.

YOu should have seen the first one first. :shame: :lol:

Jez - I love languages, too, although I can't say that I'm good at learning them and retaining them :lol:

I speak halfway decent spanish and am learning French; my Grandfather taught me a few german Phrases when I was younger and my other grandparents have a lot of stuff written in Swedish at their house which their parents brought over when they came to America. I used to love to ask them what everything meant :nerd:

It sounds like a great career path for you! :hug: :up:
