Hope dress rehearsal goes well!

Had my post-op appointment today. The x-rays show the bones are healing right on schedule. The nurse practitioner said it would be 12 weeks retroactive to when the break happened that I should be healed enough to get back on the floor at work. And I was cleared to start physical therapy. :up:

As I was leaving today, I encountered three lovely women. The first lady tried to brush past me to get on the elevator and gave me a dirty look. I apologized for going too slow for her liking in the most sarcastic tone I could manage. I'm on crutches and the bitch practically ready to tackle me to get on the elevator. A few minutes later, I was at the door to leave. I had to balance myself on one crutch to open the door while at the same time make sure the free crutch didn't drop. Two women walked by, made eye contact with me, and quickly looked away and continued on with their conversation. I got the door open, hobbled out, and shouted "Thank you for your help ladies!". Ugh.

And DG, I'm sorry those people were so rude to you. :tsk: You're obviously injured - how fucking hard is it to hold a door open for someone who needs help?! BAH. I shake my fist at them on your behalf. :fist: :hug: Glad to hear your recovery is going according to schedule, though! :up:
 
TV is on... not paying attention... have no idea what commercial was on... but my attention was caught when I heard: "Even if you only use the Edge..." :shifty:

Yes, Bono is freakish about showing arms or legs in public. I have no idea why as they are lovely. *sigh*

I hope on the next tour he keeps the farking jacket off. We were watching Elevation Boston last night and I was wondering when he started having an aversion to his arms? I know for Zoo and Pop it was a character or part he was playing. But from Elevation to 360...no matter how much he sweats....he keeps the coat on. It's so weird.
 
I agree - he needs to lose the coats.

I watched Slane Castle last night. It had been so long since I'd seen a U2 DVD. :) My landlords weren't home, so I used the surround sound and blared the volume. It was fabulous. I don't use the surround sound too much because it can be rather noisy, but whenever they're not home I crank the volume and make the walls shake a bit. :lol:
 
We almost put Slane on, but I picked Boston. She fell asleep after UTEOFTW.

Don't you hate it when a friend makes you feel like a less than a stellar parent?

What happened? Afrien of mine only gives her kids vegan organic food and I always feel like she's looking down if we give our son chips or Gatorade or sth like that

Call the authorities....we let my daughter watch a DVD in the car when we drive longer than 30 minutes. And no, it's not porn. It's Disney.

I asked if she had one since they are going to be doing a lot of driving with 2 kids under 3. I got a 'nope...I don't want to be like Lori and put a DVD on as soon as we get in the car'. I joked about being a bad parent for not putting on Raffi for family sing-a-longs while flashing math cards. I got no response from that.

Okay, we do use our DVD so that we can listen to our music and keep her happy. Driving in a car is not quality time to me.

Well he did just have a t-shirt sometimes, RARELY didn't he? Or am i just thinking about when he switched jackets? :hmm: I know I snapped off a ton of pics of his arms in a tshirt at one show. But yeah in NY where he nearly keeled over from heat exhaustion he kept them on. :tsk:

They just posted these on the new archive section. Do you just use the Firefox plug in? I was at work so it wasn't working there.

uuuh, not sure what you mean about the Plugin. :reject: But when Adobe or Java did a recent update they excluded Vista 64 bit systems. Assholes. Making my system obsolete on much of the internet since most websites use java in their script. I can't see most video anymore or any type of Flash, which tons of websites use. (For instance I can't upload photos to photobucket or Facebook anymore. :sigh: )
