They opened me and closed, didn't like what they saw and. It was a right call. Next operation next week as they were amazed that I'm even able to walk arm. Looks like 40% chance that it might go wrong. We'll see on Monday, they are taking one more specialist to next surgery

I'm harassing nurses

:yikes: That doesn't sound good! Hope it'll go well!

Same as before, just bringing a good neurosurgeon and someone to next operation

Don't worry, I'm having a blast here

Well you certainly are one of the most positive minded people I know Jj! Glad you're having fun anyway!! :giggle:

That's what my sister kept saying when we watched 'The Hangover' together once :D.

I'd imagine so! I would be, too. It's good business to do things like that from time to time.

Hehe, hey, any reason, right? I'm not one who gets bent out of shape about that stuff (I have familiarity with and like Shakespeare, of course, but I'm not a diehard nor an expert), so that wouldn't bother me. But something to keep in mind regardless, sure, and I can see where that kind of change would annoy some people.

LOL, aw. Sounds like a good way to deal with that, though, and in some cases it is kind of hard to know what a person wants. My parents always knew/know what I asked for, but that's mainly because when I like something I usually never shut up about it and my obsessiveness is kind of, um, apparent . But the same thing happened with my dad all the time, too, he was more happy to give gifts than get them, and never really asked for much. But if I did see something I knew he might be interested in, I'd pick it up for him.

 Bradley is pretty. But, I'm shortchanging him when I say that, because he's also a very talented actor. He was amazing in "Limitless."

Sometimes I love Amazon, and sometimes I hate their guts.

Hey, a good movie is a good movie, right? :shifty: I love Shakespeare, but it doesn't bother me when they change things up for a film version. The whole point of a film is for people to spend money (making it, going to the theatre for it, renting it, buying it), so if they have to change things to make it more watchable, I'm all for it. Though, I do get kinda mad when they mess with Hamlet.... unless it's The Lion King. That's just

Families are so weird sometimes, aren't they?

Geez. I really hope the next surgery goes well for you, JJ.

Slap/grab a bum day and I'm surrounded by nurses :D

Sounds like you're having fun, though.

 to JJ. Glad you're at least enjoying yourself-that's amazing given how stressful everything seems to be. But your attitude is a good one to have going into all of this, so hope things go well for you. It sounds like you're in good, competent hands-though I feel for them having to deal with your wacky behavior, haha .

But yeah. Good luck with everything.

Oh, yeah? I've only seen him in that aforementioned 'Hangover' movie, but I liked him there-I'll have to check out 'Limitless', then.

LOL, eh, no place is perfect, I guess, right? What are the reasons why you hate them?

Exactly! It's how the business works, like it or not, and sometimes it makes people check out the original work the movie was based on to compare, so that's always a good thing! And 'The Lion King' rules. Such a great, classic film .

They are, very much so . I know mine sure is. But as long as they care and try their best and there's love and all that good stuff, it makes the weird stuff worth it :D.

Yeah.

It's like he's coming closer with each pic. Just... staring...

 Yeah...

What were we talking about again?

I like the way you are thinking.

That is all.

If you liked "The Hangover," I suggest one called "Wet Hot American Summer." That's just hilarious.

They screwed me out of some stuff I bought about 5 years ago. I was quite pissed off at the time.

 Lion King is one of the few movies that made me cry. :shifty:

Oh, yeah, I've heard about that one! I've been wanting to see it 'cause of the fact that I like David Hyde Pierce, but I've also heard it's a good movie in and of itself, too, so that's definitely one I have to get around to watching at some point. It's been on a movie channel on occasion, but unfortunately that channel is one we don't get. So off to find the DVD, I guess!

Ooh. That sucks. Definitely worth being mad over, yeah.

 Lion King is one of the few movies that made me cry. :shifty:

Same here. If the scene with Simba finding his father after the stampede doesn't get someone choked up, I have to think it's 'cause they're made of stone.

It's a really good movie, very much worth seeing. I plan on getting it again soon.

 Yea, at the time I was very mad. But I'm over it now. They refunded me the money after a while, at least.

YES. The stampede scene is just so.....

Hey, Dazz ! How are things?

It's a really good movie, very much worth seeing. I plan on getting it again soon.

Cool. Hope you can get it soon. It's officially on my list now, too :).

Ah. Well, that's good, as long as it gets resolved.

YES. The stampede scene is just so.....

Very much so.

I do remember, upon seeing the movie again recently, thinking, "Wow...parts of this are kinda dark/heavy for a kids' film." That bit with Simba's dad, the uncle wants to kill his own nephew, he treats the female lions like dirt...

It's been ages since I've seen it, but I also seem to recall that 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' was pretty dark, too.

hi ML

i just deleted a long artcile which i cut down even in FYM ....
have to find a more concise one on the subject (by same author)

:hyper: i went shopping for more yarn! Lion Brand Studio Store has a special 25% sale on most of the stuff in the store! you had to say "happy anniversary" at the checkout this week. Their fourth! And they were in the power outage of the below 39? st in Manahhatan.

i am also going to try and also make some small warm things- wristlets, head band for ears- to donate . store is collecting stuff. but i'm pretty slow so i can't make anything big .

gotta go 2 sleep

mornin' JJ

good night everyone else :D

Yeah, I've noticed your replies in FYM, good to see you popping in there a bit more. I'll try and comment on some of them more often, but I do read them.

Yay for finding more yarn! That's a neat deal going on at that store (sorry to hear about them being affected by the storm), and I like your "making warm stuff to donate" idea, too, that's really cool.

Sleep well!

I'm trying to donate -- the store has had donations every year.
i totally missed the first 2, got going late but OK last year till i screwed somthing up and didn't have time or energy ( bc of other obligations) to finish it. So I'm trying again.

No problem! I like it when more people add to the conversation like that. And indeed, given everything going on, yeah, it's only natural there'd be an uptick.

Ah, I see. Well, hey, stuff happens sometimes, unfortunately, at least you keep trying. Good luck, hope it turns out better this year for you on that front!

Also, Tara, don't know if you've seen this yet-it was on the Yahoo! front page earlier. Sharing it here just in case:

Who Knew? Canadian Rocker Bryan Adams Is Also A Top Photographer | Stop The Presses! (NEW) - Yahoo! Music

(I believe you've mentioned this other career of his before here, so not a shock to you, I'm sure, but still, interesting to see an article on it regardless. I didn't know he'd done so much with photography, either, that's kinda neat. It's fun when you find out an artist (or actor, or athlete) has another side to them, another thing they're passionate about.)

I may have to rent it soon, just to be able to watch it again.

I know! It's amazing how much Disney got away with even until early 2000s, but they can't get it past kid-censors nowadays!

Like Beauty & The Beast, The Lion King, The Hunchbck of Notre Dame... people talk about how innocent Disney was/is, but have they ever actually thought about where those tales came from?

I want that book. It's freaking $88, though. He did an amazing photoshoot of Amy Winehouse, and that article says some of those pics are in the book...
