I never made it to finals...........It was because I didn't use that word.:|

DAMN i missed it and my computer is in getting fixed. the comp im using now has no speakers......errgggg. guess i'll have to wait for the transcripts or to d/l from the wonderful person who put it on newmedia. YAY!

so i listened to it...finally i'm not the last one to hear something!

anyway, I TOTALLY agree with Larry. WGRYWH definitely could use some more work. It's really obvious what he was talking about. They could've done something really great with that song, but the wankers screwed it up. Feck.

Edge and i have similar tastes

I fell off my chair when Edge was talking about how he actually went as himself for halloween...i can see him running around the city with his guitar... and people going "OH MY GOSH!! You look EXACTLY like him! But a little shorter! Wow!!" and he was also saying something (it was hard to understand everything) about how (i think) some people actually did recognize him and the joke ended up being on him (?) and it resulted in poor edge having to run quickly down the street , with the guitar. Man! No wonder he stays so nice and trim! How do you run with one of those things? Or kick one for that matter (see GONE)? Awww...sooo cute...it also meant that Edge and i went as the same thing for halloween...but no one recognized me..(could be the apparent lack of facial hair and the fact that i'm a girl)! Also the Adam and the river part was great. "Its a river." "I know its a river!" "But have you been in it?" And spoons, and of course the whole getting someones eye with a fork of vegetarian food. Poor larry! They are all such funny guys.....yay for U2!!!

Seriously, was this taped?

I mean, they all pretty much (well Edge actually did) gave the exact address where they were.

Anyway, this interview is great!

Why does Bono keep saying funnest?

My. He really does talk a lot. I bet that he is talking more on this chat thing then normal because he is on the phone and not in person....

I wonder if Larry and Edge and Adam stop listening to him when he gets off on these rants.

heck, I DO
me: STOP TALKIN ALREADY

well, they did ask larry a question and he was like ".....wait, what?"

I do love my Bono baby, but PLEASE DEAR LORD leave out 99% of those emmms and ermms when they do the transcript! Listening to them all was tiring enough, don't wanna have to read it! :banghead:

I never made it to finals either.....probably because I did gymnastics instead.

hehehe! I love it!

I couldnt stop laughing especially after adam joined!

Adam feels like a "SPRING" chicken!!!

so if you all remember correctly:

Edge is the "FUNKY" chicken
Adam is now the "SPRING" chicken

what are Bono and Larry? :lmao:

OK, Larry is the Chicken Breast and Bono is just the rooster that won't shut up in the morning or let any of the other chickens talk.

Man, I need a transcript...I can't tell half of what Larry is saying...luckily I can understand Adam just fine..

I really wish they could have done something about the echo from Adam's phone, it was pretty distracting. It was good, not majorly earth-shattering revelations except that Edge was in LA last week (rats).

How'd y'all feel about Larry's comments about fans? I was just trying to figure out what he feels is acceptable, should fandom only amount to buying CDs and going to concerts, not trying to meet the people in the band you like? I understand his not wanting people to hang around outside his house (and I would never want to do that because it's totally invasive to the non-celebrity members of the household), but what's wrong with standing in front of the studio? It's a public place and if I was famous I would much prefer people hanging in front of the studio or hotel to them trying to find my house. The other guys seemed much more tolerant of fans, being happy that people are cool to them and excited about what they do.
I just felt like there was a little of this thing from Larry that people who do do those things have no life and should be doing something more worthwhile with their time. Granted, I'm sure there is a very small, ultra-rabid U2 fan contigency that does little else, but those of us here have jobs and families and other interests and responsibilities, U2 is just another interest, a tiny distraction during the day. My friend was sitting with me listening to the interview and when he said that thing about they could be spending their time writing to governments about debt-relief, my friend wisely pointed out that it is possible to do both (like so many of us have been doing). I'm so not trying to get on Larry's case about this, he is totally within i his rights to feel that something goes to far or makes him uncomfortable or whatever, but it would be nice for him to then say what he feels is appropriate behavior from his fans.

I think I agree with you on all of it, though it hurts... :(

I love Lardence, but he should understand by now that not everybody who spends a day or half a day in front of the studio is a disturbed person who's obsessed about them, maybe just a normal person who happens to ADMIRE them a lot and wants a bigger chance at meeting them, or getting an autograph or taking a pic with them or whatever.

I agree with him that fans should not approach their houses, but I don't see anything wrong about waiting patiently in front of the studio...

That's Larry I guess :larry:

I did  at the Electrical Porn thing...

NO FJ, I'm not going to lie to you.

I knew it! :lmao:

ARRRRRGH!!! I just got online @ 11... STuPID Stupid! :banghead: :banghead:
Just hit me--chat began @t 8! OH NO! :scream: I can't believe I missed it. So I go to the forum... thank god, there are links to it! I click on it---AACK! Wtf :eyebrow: it kept playing on Winamp3 instead of Windows Media. When I got to doing it, it says that the file's not specific aka can't open. Can life get any worse? I have no means to hear it unless U2.com broadcasts it or lets you download or whatever... I'll just have to read the transcript, if any I guess. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: ((I can't believe it!))

Great interview, gave me the super fuzzies. They were all super cute.

I hope a transcript shows up soon. I have more comments, but I need to check the transcript first.

You know what bothered me, is that he said this in a WEBCHAT that basically was being listened to by the diehard fans.

My only consolation was that the other 3 stepped in to defend the fans. (I kind of got the impression that Bono was a little annoyed.)
