But I seriously DON'T know the story behind Edge's

Also where did "Hitman" and "Sparky" come from?

I was watching PopMart and was wondering why Larry was called Hitman, then it dawned on me, I thought...hmm, maybe he's called hitman(lol, I accidently typed hOtman..which is true too

) cause he HITS the drum...I dunno if that is where it really comes from, but its seemed like a reasonable guess at the time.

Edge is Edge because of the shape of his head, and because he's always teetering on the Edge of Reason, Intellectualism, Science, Edge of things, etc...

Hey Mona, yeah, I am following you around today! I've been away from Pleba for awhile,so I need to get reaquainted with the place! Hope ya don't mind!

About "smooth criminal", I forgot that one, is that because Bono has been looking kinda smooth instead of the usual "hairy man's man chest of his???"

Edgie said on the Legends show that they called him THe Edge because of his chin. I don't think its sharp and pointy, I think it looks great!

I think you are right about the "hitman or hotman"!!!! he is a total hottie!!!

My Sparky, I heard got the name b/c of his 'habit' of lighting up.

Lemme know if I am totally off base on these answers, but I think they are accurate!

"The thing in Lypton Village about naming people was that: 1) they thought it strange that you should go by a name given to you by your parents, when that name might not really suit you. 2) the nicknames were often associated with a facial thing and it would then also apply to the person's character. So The Edge had this prominent jaw line & was always on the edge of things: like an observer. Bono's first Village name was: Steinhegvanhuysenolegbangbangbangbang. (!) Paul McGuinness became known as 'The Goose'."
