Part of an interview from the Chicago Suntimes that I wanted
to share with ya!
In one of only a few unscripted moments Monday, as his aides tried to wrangle him back on the bus,
Bono turned to wide-eyed Gwen Varley, 13, seated next to him and asked if she watched MTV.
"No," the shy teen said.
"They don't have MTV out here?" Bono asked.
"No. I just have mean parents," she said.
First he commiserated with parents who don't want music videos in the house.
But then he told her, quietly, "I'm a fan of MTV. Go get 'em."
On his way out of the Iowa diner and gift shop, one of the owners asked Bono to sign the guest
book and handed him a gift basket filled with homemade goodies.
"Ooh, there's spicy stuff. I like that. I consider myself a spicy guy," Bono quipped, as he eyed a jar of preserves.
Ever the rock star, he couldn't resist adding: "I'm Man Spice. Or, actually, Old Spice."
Bono's Heart of America tour pulls into Chicago tonight.
Yep, He?ll be arriving in Chicago (weather permitting-it?s snow like hell right now)
today and will be speaking at Wheaten College tomorrow night at 7PM!!!
Anyone going to brave the elements to see him?

I've got a friend downstairs who I've almost got convinved to go to Chicago tomorrow, but here's the deal, the Wheaton event is private, but we met Bobby Shriver on a street corner and he checked the itinerary for us and said Faith Apostolic Church, 1:00pm, Dec. 4 was the place to be!

How sure are you that that's the right church? Bobby Shriver said "Faith Apostolic" and gave and address, which I stupidly didn't bother writing down. I know it's in some part of Chicago that starts with "Oak---".

I know there is Oak Park which is a part
of Chicago that is very well known. In
fact there is a very famous Church built
by Frank Lloyd Wright called "Unity Temple"
but it's Unitarian Universalist.

I called and asked if they were the church hosting Data tomorrow and the lady said yes, and I asked if it was at 1pm and she said "whatever time it says on your invitation." So, I dunno what the deal is with that.
I also called down to Indianapolis and there are no tickets available for that date, but the event is open and you can still try and get in if there are enough seats.
