My Nephew Jeffy had his vision and Hearing screening today to start Kindergarten this coming August. He passed the vision but failed the hearing screening. He could hear fine with the headphones off and in the left ear but with the headphones on he couldn't hear anything at all in his right ear.

As some of you know Jeffy is a music lover, who has already developed good taste in music and who wants to be a musician more than anything. I know how often this may change as he gets older, but it sort of adds an extra ounce of worry to the possibility of serious hearing problems.

He is also very excited about going to school this year. It's all he's talked about all summer long.

He has an appointment with a family doctor next week for a referal to a specialist. We'll know more about the situation soon, I hope. I just wanted to ask those of you who would to say a little prayer for him to be healthy and strong, and for his mother to be strong as well. They haven't got a lot of money but thankfully they are insured. Still, it's a scary thing for us to face.

Thank you all already; because I have felt the incredibly generous and kind spirit of this community before and I know that there will be prayers and good thoughts for my little Jeffy from so many of you.

SG  Give Jeffy a huge hug from me. I will be praying for him and his mom. I know how scary this can be. We went thru the same sort of thing with Mini-cat when she was little, except for her it was a bad eye. But thankfully they have gotten her glasses and she has learned to cope really well.

I bet Jeffy will do okay, no matter what happens. He is a spunky little guy. I'm always here if ya need anything, but you already know that.

 SG Please know ya'll are in my prayers. Have faith my friend. When my nephew was born, we were told he was totally deaf. He's almost 4 now and can hear perfectly. God does wonderful things!

I just love the generosity of spirit all the pleba girls have. It's so nice to have found a place like this

As it turns out, he will not be held back from school no matter what, I was worried because he is on the younger side for the class and it's a very rural area and the school system is a little back-woods/out-of-date. But that hurdle is passed now, at least. :)

Poor thing. I hope things will turn out alright. He's young and science has made a lot of progress in our time. I'm sure there still is hope.

Love and prayers from my family to yours.

I'm sure he will be fine, both my kids had concerning test results when they were pre school too and I was distraught as my mum is partially deaf. Further tests showed they were ok.

Let us know how Jeffy gets on, I love that name!
