Finally! A little mention about Gavin! ( I found it on a Gavin Friday mailing list by the way)


Well I'm still smiling after last night!! Yep that good!
Well I had the balcony seat which believe or not
was the perfect view. Anyway the show started off
and the girls looked great. Some of the outfits
were completely mad but thats fashion for ya.
In between different designers there were interviews,
some of the interviews were with Larry Mullen,
Andrea Corr (I know - help!) Patrick Bergin (I think
thats his name), Samantha Mumba and others.
And a few bands appeared on stage and sang a few.

So when da lads were introduced panic hits me
(I'd a feeling Gavin would be the first out as the last
shows he modelled for seemed to go that way)
and sure enough who walks out first only himself.
Walking down the cat walk to the theme tune of 2001
Space Odyssey. Pulling his serious mad face
and then stopping a couple of times along the way down.
I was so taken back by him that I forgot to see
what he was actually wearing. Cause the next thing
that happens he is down on his knees and up goes
an inflatable Spire of Dubin in between his legs!!
It was dead cool and soo funny! I was screaming out
his name he was soo good! To be honest I think
the men really stole the show - meaning himself and Guggi.

The Edge modelled really well and as for Guggi
- he brought out the whole family! and one in the pram.
He walked down the catwalk pushing the pram
and the rest walking along beside him. Then he took
his toddler out of the pram and let him walk up the catwalk
on his own. He then stretched out his arms
and the little dote ran into his arms. It was soo cute.

And sure if all that wasnt good enough I walked right up
to Bono during one of the breaks and got talking to him
and got a lovely kiss from him!! I told him to tell Gavin
he was brilliant!

Outside the venue when all was over, I shook hands
and said hello to Larry Mullen, Shay Given, Eddie Irvine
and Guggi!!

What a night !!! is all I can say

Another tidbit from his mailing list:

Apparently, Gav's appearance at the Brown Thomas
Fashion Show caused a little ruckus, mainly among the elderly who phoned in to complain about 'that Friday fella who was very bold'.

Callers to the Joe Duffy show on Friday morning said his behavious was lewd and disgusting. They rang Gav to comment and he said he was 'only taking the mickey!'

Then someone, it may have been Gav himself, made the point that he wasactually wearing more clothes than most of the the female models.

OMG Kristie bless you, bless you!! I so wanted to see video of this, thank you so much for posting this on your site. It took forever to download (curse dial-up) but it was entirely worth it.

Edge is so cute!! I dug his strut and that pointing thing he did.

Anyway, completely amazing.

And yes I have watched this four times and will probably end up watching it many, many, many more
