I've kind of noticed that in some of the more current photos of him with open shirt--that he is a little less "furry" than say in the 90's, maybe an age thing--I love the fur- (not Gene Simmons kind though) or maybe he's groomed it a little.

You could be right. My husband's chest hair looks a little sparser from a distance. It's because of the grey hair.
