I was watching VERY late night (like 3 AM) TV news one weekend and the really cute news anchor (forgot her name) suddenly jumped into a story about U2, and she literally got GIDDY when she started talking about them, said they were her favorite group, had a HUGE grin on her face the entire time, it was priceless!

Them: Who was the guy with the thing on his shirt?

Them: What was that?

Them: Who plays guitar?
Me: Edge, known for his teenie weenie beanie.
Interruptor: The Edge sucks. *Shannon begins cardiac arrest* Who starts their name with "The".
Me: It denotes a direct object. That's him, THE Edge.
Interruptor: Well, he doesn't know how to play guitar.
Me: Except that his job is to play it and has been for the past 25 years?
Int: And he's old.
Ug, that went on for a LONG time. That's the first person I ever encountered that absolutely hated U2. I am still in shock. Ohh, makes me sad to think of it...

*sigh* I get that ALL the time at school. Especially from my history teach, Mr. B(no relation to Bono). Dood, I totally gave him the cold shoulder today in class for making fun of U2 for the past week and telling the whole 8th grade that U2's halftime performance was "stupid." Now he's trying to make up fer it by saying positive things about Bono's Dropt the Debt campaign and stuff. I'm not forgiving Mr. B yet...I still think he's too full of himself and he needs to keep is enormous mouth shut. hehe, take that, Mr. B!
