Okay, time for my special tribute to Bono for his birthday, which is going to take quite a few posts, and might be better suited for the caption thread, but I don't think it's all that funny, and I'm posting it here, so there


Today is Bono's birthday, and Bono's having a very busy day.

He woke up bright and early but Bono's just not himself before his morning cup of coffee:

Bono: It's too eaaaarly

But after he was more awake, it was time for him to get ready for his special day. First a nice bubble bath:

Bono: Ah, Calgon, take me away

And then it was time to get dressed:

Bono: Honey, what was it you told me I have to wear today?
Ali: A suit. I laid one out for you on the bed. Don't forget your tie.

Bono didn't like suits and ties, but he made the effort:

Bono: Ali says I look smart in a suit But she insisted on tying my tie for me.

And then it was time for breakfast out on the town with the family:

Ali: *thinking* Only a twenty minute car ride, and he already took the tie off

Bono's birthday was an extra special occasion in the Hewson household, because it was also Jordan's birthday:

Waiters: *gather around* Happy happy birthday! We're so glad you came! *sings and claps*
Bono: *fiegns innocence* I totally had no idea they were gonna do that.
Jordan: Yeah right

After the meal, the entire family went to the Happiest Place on Earth™ for further celebrations:

Bono: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The teacups excited Bono, perhaps too much. He couldn't sit still at all on the way home:

Bono: Whooooo! I get to have two scoops of ice cream on the way home!

Unfortunately, that sugar high ended in an inevitable crash:

Bono: *snore*

Fortunately Ali woke him when his best buddies showed up to take him out. He greeted all of them warmly:

And then they were off for an evening of fun:

Bono: Yo.
Adam: What up?
Edge: Peace, bros.
Larry: I hate sitting in the backseat

The evening started out simply enough, with some dancing:

Edge:
Bono: Psh, I could do that.

But soon, drinks were consumed and things began to get a little out of hand:

Girls:
Bono: Whee!
Edge: ...Dammit, I am sick of having to rescue him. HEY LADIES! Put him down

Edge then decided that perhaps it was time for Bono to get home:

Edge: Come on Bono, it's time for bed.
Bono: NO! I don't wanna go yet!

Fortunately, Bono's friends Gavin and Guggi showed up at that moment:

Bono: Gavin! Tell them not to make me leave!

But unbeknownst to Bono, Gavin and Guggi had a plan that never failed. They knew that the best way to deal with Bono in such a situation was to get him so drunk that they could just drag him home, which they did:

Bono: It's still myyyyy birrrthdaaaaay!
Guggi: Works like a charm.
Gavin: Every time.

And being the good friends that they were, Gavin and Guggi knew just how to make sure that Bono's birthday ended on a perfect note, they left him on his couch, in a dress:

Bono: *snore*
