Last night I went out for dinner with a few of my girlfriends. One of them is pretty upset because her fiance has decided that he is unhappy in Toronto, and is moving back home to Vancouver tomorrow. He grew up there, she grew up here, and neither of them feel 'at home' in the either place. Since it is about a 50-60 hr. drive they are breaking up. Anyway, she started talking about what kind of a guy she wants to find, and after listing all the traits; (hot, quiet, funny, etc) then she said "I think that Larry Mullen Jr. would be perfect". I started laughing hysterically of course, since she isn't a huge U2 fan, and it isn't often that someone other then me brings up U2 in a conversation. I told her about the mesh shirt, and she started smiling for the first time since he decided to move back home. Before I dropped her off at home I swung by my house and lent her my superbowl tape!!
Looks like Larry in the Mesh shirt saved the day!!
Perhaps something good will come of this break up. I can bring one of my girlfriends into full fledged obsessed fandom! (although she currently lists U2 as her third fave band, below Radiohead, and R.E.M)!!

"Here I go and I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Could it be he's taken over me????"
