Hiya, girls!

How is it going? Wow! It has been a whole month since I don't write here!

Yesterday I arrived home at 5 a.m, I'm still sleepy. Girls, Dublin is awesome! I have been there since July 2nd till July 30th but it has been like just a week.

I went there to learn English with an Irish family and we had lessons five days a week in the Mount Temple Comprehensive. The family was absolutely lovely and every single person of my Spanish group was great. When we came back home we cried and cried like ever but I cried even more when the night before they dedicated Walk On in a disco for me.

And.. no, I didn't meet the boys! And Bono was in town  The day he was in the Trinity College I was in the studios! And some hours before Ali and he went to the Veronica Guerin premiere I had been in O'Connell Street    But in spite of that, it has been the best month of all my life!

The closest I have been to the man is that some friends and I met his gardener. We also met Sam O'Sullivan and that's all. They both are adorable! When Sam saw us he came out the studios and talked to us about the album, the guys and stuff for a few minutes and the gardener... I guess he didn't have much to do because he was with us for half an hour!

I also met Flavia (Niamh_Saoirse) and her boyfriend and had a good time with them (Flavia, I'm sorry we could only meet once! I'll have to take a plane and meet you again... :shifty: :sexywink:).

What else can I say? I'm in love with that city! I wish I was still there!

Now I'm at home I hope I see you around here more often.

That's very cool! I'm so jealous!

My roommate from last semester was going to Ireland this summer, and she's not even a U2 fan! Not fair!!!!

 Hola teehee!!! Verdad que una vez que vas a Dublin no puedes evitar querer volver una y otra vez??? :cute: Love Doooooooblin!

Well, now I am much more fluent speaking English because the family was always talking to us. I've learnt some new vocabulary and that's all

I want to come back! :scream:

Yes, and I must say that the school inside is kinda grotty. I expected something more... beautiful?

Anyway, thank you all for your welcome

Hi Marta!

I completely forgot you were going back home! And as I am a total eejit I texted you saying: Wanna go to the Clarence on MONDAY?
lol ..I'm such an idiot!

But anyway, it was lovely to meet you and I'm glad to hear you had a good time in old good Dublin! :D

You were lucky to have that experience and I hope you get to go back! :)

No, he didn't give too much info. Anyway, I didn't want to ask him a lot of questions just to be respectful. He said that there are a lot of songs but the album is not finished yet, that by this time the songs are rock (something in the lines of ATYCLB) but there is plenty of time for that to change (I guess he meant that they could still include some keyboards and techno stuff).

When we asked him about the guys, he told us that they were on vacation for 2 months, that Bono was in town and the other three were out of Ireland. He asked us where were we from, if we were there for learning English... he's really nice.

Today I got some photos developed. If you want I can post the U2 related ones (I have some inside the Mount Temple school if you are curious) :)

YAY! Glad you had a great-time Teehee! Now you will have Dublinitis like everyone else who's been!!

I'm sure we'd all LOVE to see the pictures (I know I would!) My friend and I took a wild-goose-chase taxi ride to Mt. Temple (I left my directions in the hotel :|) but we eventually got there although we didn't go inside.

OOhh dublin.. now i'm all achy for it! *sniff*

Dublinitis

I think that's what I have! EVERYTHING reminds me of Dublin. My family and friends are bored of hearing me saying "When I was in Dublin..." aaall the time.

If I could I would take the next plane to the city  It's great.

I miss it!

Do you see the orange closet behind the two guys in red? One of the first days some friends and I opened it and began to look for books which could have been of our boys. They were from the 70's and some of them had names written on them, but there was no luck in our search

This is the other half of the classroom which is not shown in the other photo:

I took this pic the first day. In this field we had lunch if the weather was good enough. In the building live some teachers, the caretaker and I think sometimes students too. It is not the actual school:

This is me. In front of me there were 3 noticeboards and behind me another three. Maybe in one of those Larry put the famous note!

This is Kilmainham Jail, where U2 filmed the video clip for A Celebration. Our guide in the jail was very handsome . When we were here he said that a lot of films and video clips had been shot there because it is one of the biggest jails. He mentioned In the Name of the Father, Michael Collins and also a video clip of Sinead O'Conor and U2. He said "Do you know U2?" everybody looked at me and said "Yes, we know U2! We have the biggest fan here!" The guy kept on saying that they filmed a video for a song here and asked me how long I had been a U2 fan and so on.

Esther (the Spanish girl who was in the same family as me. Poor child, she has spent a whole month hearing me talking about U2 without complaining!) and I. The oldest daughter of the Irish family and her boyfriend took us there because they knew of my Bono love.

Bono's gates opening. In 10 minutes this was the 3rd time they opened. The 1st time I became all nervous. An old man told us to go away  The 2nd time the same man told us the same, and the 3rd time a silvery Mercedes began to go out sloooowly, I almost die! Then I saw a blonde woman driving the car and I felt dissapointed:

My friends and I outside the studios. I am the one among the guys holding a big Bono picture. In our way to the studios we saw a record store with a lot of U2 stuff and I bought that pic.

Killiney the 2nd time I visited it. That time we met the gardener and the gates opened like... 8 times? The family was supposed to be in Nice:

This is Pierce Brosnan. That afternoon our group leaders have planned to go to the Bank of Ireland and then to the National Gallery. When we were in the Bank someone asked us what we preferred if going to the gallery of trying to see Pierce Brosnan. You can guess what we decided:

And the last pic. Me at the school entrance.

I hope I haven't been too much boring

Thanks for the pics teehee-you are cute and quite pretty :)

You saw Pierce that close? I am quite jealous of that

Yes, maybe Larry did put the note on one of those boards

Tee-Hee, you are the most UN-boring person ever! Thank you for sharing those pictures with us, especially the one showing the gates of Bono's home open. It looks like he has a magnificent view of the Irish Sea.
Thank you, thank you!
