Is Ali related to Seamus Heany or is it just my imagination?

When Bono visited the Pope, he gave him a copy of one of Seamus Heany's books. And I think he ( or somebody else) mentioned that Ali was related to him.

Is this true or is my mind playing tricks on me?

Hmm, I remember reading something about Ali's parents knowing a famous writer who lived in Dooblin and who was always going for a walk at the Liffey.

Could be that this guy was him......

I'm not sure. But I think Seamus wrote something for the Pope on one of the front pages.
